Flower Designer Album

My friend Loraine asked me to make this album for her, to give as a gift to her sister inlaw who was turning 50. It is a Flower Designer Album......the paper is Dancing Jewel collection all by Kaiser.
I had so much fun doing it, the paper is a real favourite of mine.

I was given scanned photo's which I scanned again and made them all black and white so they did not clash with the paper.

Lots of flowers, brads that co-ordinate with the paper and a touch of bling make this a really pretty album.
All the flowers I cut using "George"

There wasn't a lot of room on the album to journal, that would have been difficult for me anyway as I was making it for someone else to give as a gift. The photo's alone had a lot of meaning to Christine who was receiving the album.

On the back I added a simple rubon where Loraine could add her message.
.
Christine loved the album, it is displayed on her coffee table for everyone to see.

Till next time

Tea anyone!

Today I have a Tea Pot to show you , which I call a work in progress! I started it a few weeks ago, everyday I keep adding things as I think of them, I'm not sure if I've finished yet but here are some photo's.
The Tea Pot is a Kaiser craft wood product.

I covered it with paper from the DWCV Garden Party stack.

Here's a close up of the flowers..........There is about eight Kaiser flowers layered , scrunched up and held together with a brad.

On each page I decided to have a photo that had something to do with Tea. I think you call this a Tea strainer (not sure) anyway its Heart shape and fits the theme.

Notice the little Heart in the top of the cup......Had to put this photo in!

All my pictures I found on google images. Heart shape Tea cups , how cool is that! I love my vintage button with pearlsl

The heart in the middle of the flower is an earing I use to wear........It looks so much better with the flower, and another Heart shape Tea cup.

Tea cups arranged in a Heart shape! Has anyone noticed I have a thing for Hearts?

The verse on the back page is really nice, I've added it below so you can read it.

When your day seems topsy turvey

and as stormy as can be, there’s nothing

quite as tranquil As a nice hot cup of tea.

While you savor this ambrosia, your problems

fade away. Its warmth will bring you comfort

And brighten up your day, So take a private

moment, There’s a calmness as you'll see,

All because you briefly stopped

to sip a cup of tea.

My daughter Jordyn was throwing out a lot of junk jewelery, I went through it before it reached the garbage bin.........this heart was from a bracelet, it now look pretty hanging from some ribbon.

I hope you like my tea pot, who knows whether I'll do more decorating?

Bye for now

These Shoes were made for Walking!

Today I have a trendy shoe card to share with you........ It is from "My Community ". I bought the cartridge just for the shoe and then discovered there are so many other great images.

Design Studio was used to arrange the flowers and  Hearts , they were drawn with the  Cri-Kit glitter gel pens. I used the cuttle bug to emboss the shoe sole and the dark purple back ground , its really hard to pick it up in the photo.

On the hearts there is a little glitter and kaiser bling in the middle of the flowers.

I stamped the image above then embossed it so it would stand out.

Have a great day

Note Book

This Note Book I have entered into Emma's Throw Back Thursday challenge. We had to create an altered item or something 3D using "Paper Doll Dress Up". So I decided to cover a Note Book.

I challenged my self to do it without using a paper doll, there are so many other cool images on the cartridge as well. So this is what I came up with...........This book I'll use to write down my Favourite things.........that's why the hearts are coming out of the little red cart.

The back ground paper is "What a Hoot" from Kaiser. Every image is from Paper Dolls except the hearts there off  "George"

2 Things I like!

My favourite color is Blue and I like drinking Tea! All my blue and white china gave me the inspiration to create this card.

The Cup & Saucer is from"Childs Year", and the Cups are from "Joys of the Season"
Each cup has a different design drawn, using a variety of blue's from the Cri-Kit Gel Pens.

The heart images are from "Love Struck" and the others are from "Mothers Day"

The cups are raised with foam tape. Pretty flowers, pearls and lace it finish off.

So this card will be in the post tomorrow on its way to Canada, my husband's auntie turns 90.
Happy Birthday Aunt Edna

Walk in my Garden

Hi everyone,
Today's card is the Hydrangea from "Walk in My Garden". The image was drawn with Cri-Kit Gel pens on to water color paper then colored in with water color crayons.

A little glitter and tiny pearls make it look really pretty.

The pot was then cut out and stuck on the original image with foam dots to add dimension.

I love Hearts!

My Creative Time has a challenge called "Throw back Thursday".......We had to use "Stretch Your Imagination" with the colors red, blue and brown. So for my FIRST ever challenge entry on a blog I came up with this card............I started off thinking about a Cherry Tree but, as my friends will tell you , I love Hearts!

The frame, tree and blue bird all from SYI. The tree I cut twice raising the second layer with foam dots.

I just love my little Heart buttons!

Elegant

Hello,
This card I have to show you, the image is from the "Elegant Cake" cartridge, Accent2. The cartridge is designed to use with the Cricut  Cake machine but can also be used with card stock. I love some of the beautiful elegant images on it.

I've used the black "Cri-Kit Gel pens" to draw the image at 2.50in. Then colored it in with water color crayons.( My water color skills need to improve ) A little glitter in the center of the flower to add some sparkle.

I look at the images on my cartridges as stamps too, think of the possibility's! A little stitching around the edges and some lace, make a simple card. I hope this gives you more ideas on how you can use your pens.

Bye for now

"Around the World Blog Hop"

Welcome to day 4 of the Scrappy-Go-Lucky Blog Hop.
My challenge was to come up with something to do with my part of the world, or a part of the word that is important to me.
I live in Brisbane which is situated between two beautiful Coast lines..... The "Gold Coast" to the south and the Sunshine Coast to the North........so I decided to do them both.

One thing I needed to feature on both pages was the Cri-Kit Gel pens. Design Studio helped with the alignment of the pens to border the scallop mat, which was cut from "Story Book".

This page is from the "Gold Coast". The paper I used is Kaiser "Distracted". The flowers are from "Life's a Beach" plumeria, and were cut at 3in, 2.5in, and 2in. I cut the leaves from "Walk in my Garden".....1in, .09in, .07in.

On the photo below the white gel pen was used, it turned out exactly how I wanted ........Sign Writing in the Sky! That was done with "Lyrical Letters".

The heading "Surf's Up" is from the "Life's a Beach" cartridge. The words and surf board are one cut. I then did a second cut with just the board as I wanted the surf board a different color to the font. The Cri-Kits glitter pink gel pen was used to draw the plumeria's across the board, and they were then colored with water color pencils. The pink pen also borders "surf's up" with lots of white glitter added.

I think of the Cri-Kit pens just like a stamp, draw your image and color it in !

So if you'd like a chance to win a set of these great pens , just leave a comment at the bottom of this post, Random.org will choose the winner on Friday the 18th of June.
Be sure to leave a way for me to contact you if your comment is chosen.

My inspiration for this second page was the phrase Queensland Tourism uses to describe the state.......
"Queensland , Beautiful one day, Perfect the next"
So this is what a came up with........ the photos were taken at Rainbow Beach.

Using "Base Camp" With Design Studio and the Cri-Kits, I bordered the font with Cri-Kits blue glitter gel pen and wrote inside the B with black. Crystal Effects was used to give the letters more dimension. "Perfect" was done the same way. The paper is a favourite of mine, its Kaiser "Esperance".

The kite is from the "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge, and the font is from "Lyrical Letters" drawn with the black Cri-Kits gel pen.

The Star fish is from "Life's a Beach" outlined with gold Cri-Kits. And Bling  of course!

As you know, Mandy is giving away the four latest release cartridges from CRICUT

Wall Decor and More, Cindy Lou, Freshly Picked, Mini Monsters,

Follow this international Blog Hop and collect the clues - once you have solved the anagram you need to
e-mail the answer to Mandy at

It was a last minute decision to make this card ........I found the Maple Leaf image on "A Child's Year", this represents Canada and that's where my Husband is from. We have family there who we hope to visit sometime soon.

As another example of using the Cri-Kits as a stamp effect, the leaf was drawn onto water color paper at 4in with the black Cri-Kits gel pens. My heat gun was used to set the ink which stopped the bleeding when water-colouring. Stampin Up earth element crayons were used to color with an aqua brush.

The leaf just looks like a stamped image I think! A very simple and quick card to make.

So that's it from me.................Don't forget Tereesa's blog  tomorrow, to see her amazing creation and for another clue!

Here's mine

Good Luck and Happy Hopping!

Princess

Hello,
This is a scrapbook page I designed for Scrappy-go-lucky  featuring the Cri-Kit Gel pens. I used them on the title, scallop circle, the flourish on the photo and  to border the text frame and the writing.

Six different cartridges were used , which I've listed in the labels below. This shows you why you can never have too many cartridges, its so good to have a choice. Just wish my budget was bigger to have them all!

I love Tulips

Hi everyone, yesterday I was experimenting with a photo editing program, adjusting the hue, leaving a color that I wanted and making the rest of the photo black & white. I love the results!

So I decided to make it into a page, co-ordinating paper with the color of the tulips. Story book cartridge was used to cut the scallop square. The font is Lyrical letters.

Using Design Studio with the Cri-Kit gelly pens  I lined the branch up on my papers to give a stamped look. The branch is from Story Book cartridge.

The flower is the daisy from Walk in my Garden and the butterfly is from Lyrical Letters.

I love old buttons, here's a close up.

Have a great day
