A little Vintage............

Today I have a few cards to show you, which are a little vintage and kind of shabby??.........the first one, I have entered  in a challenge over at "The Alphabet Challenge Blog" This week it is "V" for Vintage.

My mother in law is in hospital at the moment, so I'll be sending this to her.

These ones I made a few months ago.

I thought I'd show where I get my flowers....................
See the basket below.........its full of Hydrangeas , when I want a flower that looks like a pansy or violet I just cut them from this bunch and replace the plastic bit in the middle with something pretty.

The frame on this card is from Story book and how pretty is the rose cuttlebug embossing folder.

The butterfly is from Indie Art.

Hope you are having a great day

Happy Birthday.......

The Cuttlebug Challenge is another fun challenge blog!
Our challenge this week is to Create a project with an image, a bow and at least two buttons.............I've made a card using an image from Pink Petticoat digital stamps , it is colored in with water color crayons .

I've also entered this card in a challenge at Stamping Vacation..............Create a card with a button border.
How cute are my tiny pink buttons!
The flower is cut with the cricut cartridge "Walk in my Garden" I scrunched it up, inked it them sprinkled white glitter. Its hard to pick up that in the photo but it does look kind of sugar coated!

Enjoy your week everyone

NO CRICUT ?????

Thats our challenge at Emma's "Throwback Thursday". Cardstock, pattern paper, scissors, glue & stamps is all we can use. I hope card board counts???
Here are three cards I made today using the packaging from embossing folders I bought this week. These images were on the back , so I cut them out thinking I'll use them somehow one day! With the challenge this week being No Cricut I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see what I could do with them.

The 3 cards are 51/2 in square, I added pattern paper, lace, buttons, ribbon etc.
The scallop border on the pink one is from a Martha Stewart Punch.

I love using paper doily's! There is a little glitter on all the images.

How cool are these embossing folders.......they are from Craft concepts.

There is always a use for everything..........Hope you like my "Recycle Cards"

Enjoy your weekend

I used glossy accents with lots of pink glitter sprinkled on the little pink bow. The scallop border under the buttons was cut using "Plantin School Book"

A little lace, etc.......

One thing I really love is vintage images...... There are so many beautiful images that you can down load for free, I have a computer full of them! I enjoy making cards , using old lace  junk jewelery etc. I have a huge jar of old jewelery , nothing gets thrown out you just never know what it could be used for.
I haven't made any for months......... The Cuttlebug blogspot  is having a challenge, I thought it would be fun to make a card for  my mothers birthday. How pretty is this bunch of violets!

The challenge this week........ use your cuttlebug and a vintage image. The ribbon, button and lace are all from Op shops.......the little hearts are from a pair of earings of mine.

Cinderella

Hi everyone,
I've used the cartridge "Happily Ever After" to make this dress card to enter in " Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge" . We are to use an older cartridge of our choice, I think I'm late, oh well , thought I'd show you anyway! I used design studio to weld it together at the shoulders. The card stock I've used has a real shimmer to it which makes it look pretty, its hard to see that in the photo.

Have a great day

My Four........

"Tell me and I'll forget. Show me and I may not remember. Involve me and I'll understand!...............Its hard to see this written on my scrap page in the photo. Thought it was perfect for my "Back 2 School" lay out which I've entered in a challenge at "Fantabulous Cricut". I had to create a school themed project and use a button somewhere on it! I happen to have all different colored apple buttons .........Perfect! My font is from Mickey which I embossed with a Tim Holtz folder. The numbers across the page are the age of my children in the photo's.
These challenges are helping me to reduce a huge pile of photos and get them in  albums!

Home Improvements

I couldn't wait to  use my Handy Man cartridge..........cut out paint cans and the ladder! So I had to find photos to suit! This is not the way I normally do a page, I usually have the photos first and cut images to enhance them! Anyway these are the photos I found...........I am often painting  around our house, all of a sudden I decide I hate the colour, and it has to be changed straight away, the next day I'm at the paint store.
After completing this page yesterday, I thought
I'd enter it in a challenge at "Fantabulous Cricut ".........it fit the theme which is Labor Day:

Create a project that has something to do with work or a job, congrats on promotion, retirement etc..
.
Painting is a lot of work, but I really enjoy it.......

The ladder is cut at 7in, paint cans at 2in. To make the drips stand out more on the paint cans and brush I used Glossy Accents sprinkled with a little glitter.

Lots of flowers............

I just had to show you all these beautiful paper flowers that I picked up this morning! The most exciting thing is they didn't cost me a cent!!............This is how I got them......Last week I was in a jewelery store looking for some charms to add to my daughters Pandora bracelet for her birthday. While I was waiting I commented on all the beautiful paper flowers in a glass display cabinet , wondering where they bought them. They were supplied by the jewelery company to help enhance there display, which they happen to be  changing that day. I mentioned how I love scrap booking and making cards , well the rest is history........she asked me would I like them, I said I would pay her for them and she said they were only going to be thrown in the bin, so how many would I like?........Well, in that case of course I said all of them!! That made my day..........I've just counted them, there's "80". I will be commenting on a lot more stuff now, you never know ?????????
Oh, and notice I arranged them in a heart shape for the pic, so Pretty!

Party time..........

Today my daughter Jordyn turned 20.........this is the Birthday Card I made for her. She loves SHOES, BAGS and cup cakes! So I think with this card I've covered all of those things. The cup cake is from "Rock Princess".......I didn't  cut the layer with the mask, because I wanted to draw a face. I've added glitter to the cherry and boots , a little bling in the icing, and a  charm hand bag!
This was so much fun to make, working around my love for cup cakes, as well !

Thanks 4 Stopping Bye........

New designer..........??????

I just had to show you this card my daughter Jordyn made last night for her boy friend. Its a very rare occasion that Jordyn steps foot into my craft room..........she was planning on buying him a card but couldn't find one she liked! So with Tori's help..........showing her how to use a punch, where to find things etc, this is what she came up with. As you can see the bodies were printed out with there heads then she added glitter to the bag and dress etc. Its hard to pick that up in the pic. Warrens shorts are hand cut (can you tell)? and raised with foam tape along with the hearts.
So what do you think of her first attempt at card making?? She didn't think I would put it on my Blog, but I think its really Cute.............

Have a great day................Tracey

This is a card I made for Tereesa..........I think everyone that knows her, can  tell you her favourite color is PINK and more PINK........

Its a "Joy fold " card opening from the bottom. "Elegant Cakes" was used to cut the rose. I layered it 4 times to add dimension and a little more interest to the rose.......using foam dots in between each layer. The leaves are from "Walk in my Garden".
The white frame is from "Story Book"

I hope you like it.............Get well Soon

So here is where I went wrong!!???........Writing in the wrong direction............ And running out of time I couldn't find a stamp for the inside so I went with "Its all about ME" crossed it out and put YOU!!

Little Red Riding Hood

Hi everyone,
Today I have a card to show you that I made for "Momo's Tuesday Challenge"..........The theme is Black & White and to choose one other color of your choice, I chose red.
Another friend of mine went into hospital today so I wanted to make her a "Get Well" card. Flipping through the cartridges looking for inspiration I saw Little Red Riding Hood, she takes a basket of flowers to her grandma who's not well..........So this is my "Get Well Soon" card.

Little Red Riding Hood is on "My Community"
