I'm not going to be late this week to enter my card in "M.A.G Challenge by the Page"..........Its the second challenge and this week "Create a Critter" page 45 is what we need to use.............
I chose the Crocodile and the word Smile. When I  read that the challenge was going to be this page the first thing that came to mind was the song from Peter Pan......."Never Smile at a Crocodile" So I went to my new best friend ......Google,  and came up with the lyrics, I printed them out ........ta da, thats my back ground paper!
As you can see I only cut the head for the big SMILE!

This is a fun Challenge, head over there and have a look

Have a great weekend......

Vintage Christmas.................

I love using vintage images on cards..........Today I have a few Christmas cards to show you.

Both cards are 5 1/2 in square.............Some lace, ric rac and my favourite little heart buttons. The frame behind Santa is cut from "Sweet Hearts cartridge". Can you see it ? Square cards would be my favourite to work with.......you can put so much more on them!

The card below I used "Mother day cartridge" to cut the doily. I have to mention the little ribbon rose.........I made it, my first ever! I think it looks really pretty sitting on top of the doily.

Hope you like my cards

Bye 4 now

I was doing a bit of blog hoping and found a new challenge........"M.A.G. Challenge by the Page"
You need to be creative with the images on the cricut cartridge page that is chosen .........this week it is with Celebrations page 92.............This is what I came up with , just using the balloon cuts.  You may enhance your project with ribbon, bling, cuttlebug, stickles etc................ I wasn't watching the time, it was to late to submit this, but thought I'd show you anyway. Being limited to just the designs on one page I think is a real challenge!

Hop over and have a look at M.A.G. Challenge by the page, I think its going to be very popular!

October 31st

I'm back with a card for the "Jitterbuggin Challenge"
Some days you feel like working with certain colors more than others!..........My card needed to have  a pumpkin on it but I wasn't having an Orange day.............We had to :

Follow the sketch
Put a pumpkin somewhere
Emboss
Cricut cut

I was kind of having a neutral day with a touch of pink ...........I did cut the pumpkin pink too, but it didn't look right so its now brown.

Here's what I used:
Pumpkin - Happy Hauntings
Tim Holtz embossing folder
Stamps? -the only halloween ones I own!
Pumpkin eyes - black pearls

Not your normal Halloween but I think it came together OK

Hope you all had a great weekend

Cake in a Box.........

I haven't had a lot of time  to do anything crafty so I thought I'd show you something I made a  few months ago for a friends birthday.........Its a really special  box with a surprise. The colors are not what I would normally choose, but my friend Lola loves this paper by Kaiser.

Just slip the lid off and......"ta da"

Her own little cake!

On the right of the box is  a little envelope with a message about friends, the butterfly is from Indie Art and she loves bears, so I stamped the image and colored it in.

Lola just loved it! A special gift for a special friend. So if you like this idea head over to here ........Denise has the cut file for DS and SVG.

Hope you are having a great week

Hi there! At the moment there are not enough hours in the day to craft, I've been really busy............I needed to make a birthday card in a hurry , so I quickly threw this one together in about 10 minutes..........it probably took me 5 minutes to tie the button on!

Hopefully I'll see you again soon!

Eat, Drink and be Scary!

This card was so much fun to create! I'm entering it in a challenge at "Jitterbuggin".
Here are the rules:

1. Follow the sketch: The sketch looks like a gate fold card...make one if you are comfortable with that, but it is not a requirement.

2. Put a trick or treater on your card.....but there is a catch. You must use 2 different cartridges in the creation of your little goblin. Here's your chance to be really creative!

3. Add a star somewhere on your card.

Here's what I used:
Witch and Sauce - Block Party
Pumpkin - October 31st
Witches Hat - Happy Hauntings
Star - George
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Font -  Computer
I sized the witch  to fit the card but did not make allowances for her hat.......after putting all those layers together, there was no way I was going to do it again! So she kind of looks a bit big but I think it still works.

My daughter thinks the witch looks like "Samatha" from Bewitched.

Go over and have a look at "Jitterbuggin" there are so many great cards!

Wish Big

Just a quick post today to show you a fun card I made for my son Matt who turned 13 today...........10/10/2010...........It is suppose to be a lucky day.
The Gum ball machine is from "Sweet Hearts" cartridge and cut at 4.60 in.

We have our own antique Gum Ball machine, I tried to make this one look the same.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend

Vintage Halloween

Here is the FIRST Halloween card that I've ever made...................I found this very old image, which I think is so cool (if you are into old stuff like me) and just wanted to make it into a card! Because the Witches are at a Tea Party I still wanted to make it a little pretty by adding a touch of lace. I've used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the spider web with a little glitter.

I've entered this card in a challenge at the "Cuttlebug Challenge Blog" for World Card making day.

I wish Halloween was celebrated more in Australia it looks like so much fun!

Enjoy your week........

Hi everyone, today I thought I'd show you a fun project I've been working on. On Friday I was visiting my local "Kaiser" outlet store, I picked up this kit for $5.00 . The money for the kit was donated to raise money for Cancer. My challenge was to make these 2 circle craft wood pieces look like a bra and to decorate it with what was in my little bag.........Which I thought wasn't much! Initially the color combinations didn't do much for me either, I wouldn't have put the hot pink ribbon with this paper........my job was to make it work.

I did add one extra item........thats the paper below. I cut a strip, sewed down the center, then pulled the threads to gather it up.

Ta da!   Here's my Bra.........I'm quite happy with the end result. I think the colors came together OK.
The flowers were punched out with the left over paper.

Now I take my finished Bra back to the Kaiser store, it will be on display with a heap of others. At the end of the month they will be judged, the person who wins gets a voucher to spend in the shop!

So what do you think of my Bra? I need to give it a name........any ideas?

Hope you are having a great weekend.......

I loved this fairy photo when I saw it!............ .This card is for a friend who loves fairy's like me.

I photographed it on a this bubble cardboard which works really well with the picture and adds to the fantasy theme.

The frame behind the picture was cut using "Story book", then embossed with white then a glitter embossing powder. The last layer of the flower was cut using "Walk in my Garden".

I'm entering this card in a challenge at Crafty Sentiments Blogspot - we need to use a border punch. My punch is from Stampin up. Go over and have a look at all the great designs.

Thanks 4 stopping by.........
