A Card...................

A few of the Tea light jars I showed you  yesterday I am giving to a friend for her birthday.......she loves doilies too! Today I made her a card to go with her gift........and yes there's  more doilies!
I think its time for me to visit the second hand shops again to increase my supply.
Second hand shopping is my other hobby! LOL

The paper I've used is one of Kaiser's latest collections "Nans favourite's". I think its going to be my favourite too! The mat behind the image is cut from Spring Holiday cards cartridge then embossed.

Hope you are having a great week

Something different with "doilies"

Have  I told you how much I love doilies and that I 've been collecting them for some time now?
Well, Look what I made today!

They look so pretty at night with a Tea light candle inside.

As soon as I saw this idea here I just had to make them.

This is what I did............Spray adhesive on the back of the doily then stick it to a jar. Decorate with crinkle ribbon, twine and a pretty button.

I'd love to know what you think?

Thankyou so much 4 stopping by.............

My Girl

Another page completed for Jordyn's album. I don't want to think of how many more I have to do! Look at her age in these photo.........she is 21 in September. (OMG)

I've just realized.......no cricut cuts for this one! The paper is Kaiser "La-Di-Da" collection.

Just before I go.......check out "Scrappy-Go-Lucky" I've made some real simple cards using the "Spring Holiday cards" cartridge. Here's a sneak peak..........

Thankyou so much 4 visiting........I hope you all are having a great week.

Heart X O...............

LIFE sometimes just gets so busy its hard to find the time to do the things you enjoy!............. All week I've been trying to get back in my craft room. I also have been slightly side tracked, which happens quite often! Anyway I love doily's..........I've have always wanted to learn how to crochet to make my own. So, on Friday Tereesa came over ........we enjoyed wine and cheese and I got my first ever crochet lesson. I must say she is a great teacher and has a lot of patience!  I have been practising ever since.........At  one stage I did consider giving up, thinking I have containers full of vintage doily's that I've collected I'll just cut them up, that would be so much easier. LOL

Anyway that's what I've been up to......................Here is a layout  that I did last night, when I put my crochet hook down...ha ha ha. This picture was taken just before Christmas of Paul and my self,........ we don't have many photo's of us together and I thought this one was quite a nice ........so why not scrap it for Valentines Day!

Challenges I'm entering........

"Fantabulous Cricut" is having a "Share the Love " challenge - put the word love on your creation.......its stamped down the bottom using my favourite Stampin up set "Love Defined" The little tree is from that too.

Paper Playtime - Cupid or Heart

Cooking with Cricut - Hearts and Flowers

Cartridges I've used........
Fence - Heritage...I used Design Studio to place hearts on the fence as cut outs.
Heart XO and Flower - Sweet hearts ( I love the petals of this flower which are heart shape)
Chandalier - Wall Decor and More

Paper, pearls and bling all Kaiser

Thankyou so much 4 visiting and thankyou to everyone that takes the time to comment, I really appreciate it!

See you Soon

Bride & Groom

This week has been quite busy around here........On Saturday Paul flew  to Canada to surprise his mum for her 80th birthday..........and yes I  sent him with a shopping list. Actually thats not quite right.....I emailed his brother a couple weeks ago with a list LOL!
The rest of us are flying to Sydney for my nieces wedding, it will be great catching up with family I haven't seen for a while.
Today I'd like to show you the card I made for her.........Ashleigh will be wearing ivory and the bridesmaids will be dressed in pink, so as you can see I based the colours for my card around that.

Its kinda shabby looking........not the way I originally planned ( what plan?) All I knew was I wanted to use the bride & groom cut!
Sweet Hearts cartridge was used to cut the Bride , Groom and heart. Then I just added some extra little bits and pieces I had in my stash.

Have a great week.........see you soon
