Angel

Hellooooooooo,

I have not been around much lately in Blog land.......I'm still painting. Walls are complete but I've started on furniture. I still have some wood pieces but a lot is getting painted white....to shabby it up a little.
 Its looking good!
I will visit you all again soon!

Yesterday I took some time out to create something for LESSology.
The challenge this month is 'Flights of Fantasy'

I have to show you the before pics first..........
My friend Mandy from Scrappy-Go-Lucky gave me this jewellery stand last year, (she bought it from a thrift store) with the idea of seeing how I could transform it. This challenge was the perfect opportunity!

Angel wings and some doilies.

So armed with a glue gun , some lace and a box of doilies this is what I came up with.

Look how pretty it is now!

I removed the jewellery holder part and the skirt, then spray painted it white.

There are only two items that are new on my angel ........the pink doily and the heart charm, every thing else is recycled. The Rhine stone bow is an old brooch that cliped onto a shoe to dress it up.

For the skirt I layered two doilies then gathered some pretty lace over them.

I cut this flower from some lace fabric.

Happy Crafting everyone.....Hope to be back soon.

Light Bulb moment ?

And a Happy Valentines Day.

Look what I made today for my husband!

A screw driver, pliers, hot glue gun and a little patience is all you need to make this. I found the original idea Here..........I thought it was so cool, I couldn't wait to try it!
I have made mine with little heart buttons.......I did have bigger ones but they would not fit through the hole of the light bulb. For some recycling I quickly spray painted an old cube from a calendar for the base, hammered some small holes in the wood for the wire stem of the hearts to slot into. Slip the bulb over the top and hot glue in place.

He loved it!

What do you think?

Thank you 4 Visiting.....enjoy your day

Heart creations.........

I've been busy making a few thing with my favourite shape...........
Hearts
It is so much fun making these huge tags.........I've cut this with 'George and Basic Shapes at 11 1/2 in.
I don't have any of the feature cartridges for this weeks "Strut your Cuts" challenge so its back to basics:)

The tag, hearts and sentiment frame are all cut from cereal boxes. I usually cut the shape twice , stick the two pieces together for added dimension, a little paint and glitter .........just looks like chip board!

A simple XOX Card

Another Floral Delight.....

What a rush.......
I needed to make a card for a friends Birthday, I put these pretty flowers on it that I made using the "Forever Young" cartridge. So I decided to try and complete it for the challenge over at LESSology. I quickly added my recycled item .....which is the tule. It is from a mosquito net , which is slowly getting smaller and smaller. It looks so much prettier on a card, don't you think!

I misted the flowers , scrunched them, then added puffy paint to the tips.

The paper is Kaiser Hummingbird collection. This is an easel card which I turned side ways. They come in packs pre cut with envelopes. The doily is my favourite Cheery Lyn die - English Tea. Mandy sells both these items in the

Have a crafty week everyone

thank you 4 visiting

Floral Delight.........

Is the latest challenge over at "LESSology"

How could I resist playing along!

Here is my recycled item........This cute jar was used for 'icing sugar'......I would sprinkle it over sweets I baked.

LOOK how pretty it looks now:)

I sprayed the lid white, then made lots of pretty flowers from buttons and doilies.........enough to fill every hole in the lid.

The heart charm is recycled too.

It now sits in the middle of my dinning table looking, oh so pretty:)

If you have a huge supply of buttons like me......this is a great way to use them up!

Happy Crafting
