Summer BBQ

Hi Everyone,
What a busy week............ I've had very little time to craft , except for cleaning up the mess I created last week in my craft room.
I'm hoping next week will be different!
Today is no exception.............I'm quickly writing up this post before I'm out the door to meet Jane, from the SOUS Sketch team for lunch and a little shopping at the local Kaiser outlet store. She arrived yesterday from Scotland. Its going to be a fun day.
Then this afternoon I'll be busy doing my daughters hair and makeup for her school Semi Formal tonight.

Any way onto my project for this weeks "Stuck on U Sketches Die cut " Challenge.......The theme is "Summer BBQ"

The designer paper is 'Nan's Favourite' by Kaiser. I thought is was the perfect choice with all the knives and forks and recipes on the other. Whats Cookin, the BBQ, and the Bird are all shapes from '3 Birds on Parade'. The smoke is a ribbon cut from 'Picturesque'. I love how the sauce bottles turned out - they are from 'Block Party' cartridge. My kids always make a mess of the tomato sauce bottle , so I have added some drops of ink for that!

Here's the close up.........

I hope you can join us for this fun challenge:)

Have a great weekend ...........thankyou for taking the time to peak at what I've been up to!

Just scrapping my every day photos:)

Just a quick edit to add this pic......taken today.

Handmade

Hello everyone,
I'm back with another card for The Shabby Tea Room.
"Sew Crafty" is the theme for the latest challenge......we have been asked to add Buttons, Ribbon / Twine, Stitching and use colours in the photo.

I've had this PTI Button Boutique stamp for  a little while now and have not used it, so this was the perfect opportunity. I really like how it turned out........I think you'll be seeing a bit more of it now!

I have used a Kaiser Weathered Wood Stamp on the white card, the blue check is a background stamp from Dark Room Door and the Handmade Button card is PTI.
I love this colour combination ..................and how cute are the little safety pins hanging off the ribbon!

And here is the photo inspiration.

Hooray .......its the weekend tomorrow, they are calling for fine weather, I can't wait!

Thankyou for visiting and leaving such sweet comments , see you soon.

Showing the Love

Hi everyone,

Look at this pretty photo inspiration from The Shabby Tea Room.
This would have to be my Dream bedroom............So shabby looking, lots of lace and so many pretty things.

Elegance and Lace is the theme this week.

The columns in the photo is what inspired me this week. How can I create them.........what cricut cartridge has colunms on it? Well there was one, and guess what I didn't have it!

Time to phone a Friend:)
Shelley has a huge collection of cartridges......A BIG Thankyou to her for letting me borrow
 'My World' cartridge.

This is what I came up with.

I also loved the wreath in the room. I have cut mine using 'Memory Box' Grape Vine Wreath........ I have layered it a couple times.
How cute is the little ceramic bird and the pretty Angel.........."Showing the Love"

Thankyou so much for visiting.............

Creative Hidden Tag

Hi everyone,

So how Creative are you at Hiding a tag? This is the new challenge for the "Die Cut Team" at Stuck on You Sketches.
This was suppose to be an easy challenge.......but I had trouble getting my head around it. I had the
photo .........  the layout worked out but had no idea where I was going to Hide the tag!!
I'm sure you can be more creative than me!

I love this photo of Jordyn :)

For my layout I followed the "SOUS" July 6th Sketch challenge created by Nanne.
Its not hard to guess where my tag is ..........is it! Its a Card from Art Philosophy cartridge.

I'll add some journalling to this later.

Here is what I have used.............Branch and bird house - 'Straight from the nest'. Flowers - 'George', Tag - 'Art Philosophy', Scallop Circle - 'Elegant Edges' , Font - ' Mickey Font', Clouds - 'Create a Critter'.

Now, you have to head over to SOUS........the other Design Team members will have you guessing, where their tags are hiding.

Before I go.........I have some exciting news,

SOUS now has a "Card Design Team"
and I have been invited to join them.

The challenges will start next Wednesday the 18th of July, I hope to see you there:)

Tonight I'm off to the "Love Vintage" show at the Convention Centre.......I can't wait. I've been saving my pennies, I hope to find some cool things!

Its the weekend tomorrow, Hooray!

Enjoy

Its all about ME

Hi everyone,

Yes this is me at 3 years old. This is the original photo........its in great condition considering how OLD it is!

I'm entering this layout in "Sketches with a Twist"
I really loved the Sketch , so I pretty much followed it!

The "Twist" is to add Doodling to your layout. I've added it to the scallop frame. It was cut using 'Elegant Edges' cartridge.

I used 'Mothers Day Bouquet' to cut the flowers. The Banner is a scallop circle from 'Elegant Edges'

And here is the Sketch.............

Have a fabulous week , I really appreciate you stopping by and thank you so much for all the wonderful comments!

Ps. Thanks 'Shabby Tea Room' for choosing my cake card as one of the top 3 this week and I was over the moon with excitement to win the past two challenges too! Be sure to visit 'TSTR' to be inspired, there are so many beautiful creations.

Something else creative

Helloooooooo,
I thought I'd show you what I've been doing  today:) No craft.........Sorry.

A friend of friend asked me if I would do her hair for her wedding...............I don't do much hair at all any more so I was a little hesitant (I lack confidence basically)! After doing a trial run a few weeks ago ..........
She wanted an up style, soft and romantic looking.

Here is a photo of what I did today for her wedding.
The Bride is the top 2 photo's and her sister is the Bridesmaid, the 2 photo's at the bottom.

She loved her hair!

Congratulations Pam, hope you had a wonderful day

Pretty & Pink

Hi everyone,

I had some fun with this weeks challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room".

'Your invited ' is the theme...............Create an invitation.
I just loved the Delicious looking Pretty Pink Cake.

And here is mine............. with lots of pom poms, tulle, flowers, pearls and some lace.

How cute is the tiny cup and saucer:) It was an earing I just cut the post off the back, it is flat on one side......perfect to stick on my card!

The cake is from "Sweet Hearts" cartridge. I used the Gypsy to weld the top together to create a card.
I thought a little girl would love this for a  party invitation.

Have a great week .........Thanks for stopping by:)

Heart

Hey Everyone,

One thing I really enjoy doing is up-cycling , its so much fun making something old look new again!

With inspiration from The Shabby Tea Room's challenge this week I covered this Heart Box in gorgeous "Pion Design" Papers. If you visit "Scappy-Go-Lucky" you will find these papers along with the vintage image papers.

Here is the colour inspiration

The theme is "Soft and Sweet"

And here's the close up of the pretty flowers covered in 'Diamond Dust'........I just love that extra sparkle:)

I made the flowers using 'Mothers Day Bouquet' cartridge.

The book plate is from 'Fabulous Finds' cartridge.

I thought you might like to see what I started with!

These boxes were a stack of 3, this one is the smallest - if you would like to see the medium size one I covered a few months ago go HERE.  I only have the large one left to cover.

Visit "Scrappy-Go-Lucky" if you would like more details for the flowers.......size of cuts etc.

Thankyou for taking a peek at what I've been creating.
