Stuck on U Sketches.......Dear Santa

This week we are asking to create a Decorated wreath around a photo.

Its been years since I have had my photo taken with Santa............This photo was taken at Disney Land last year. The kids waited patiently out side while Paul and I  stood  in line for quite a while. I tried to convince them to join us for a family photo but they would not have any part of it.......... teenagers!

The wreath is from Joys to the season cartridge.......I cut it twice, off setting it slightly to create a fuller look.
I made the rolled flowers using Art Philosophy and the title is from Winter Woodland.

Come join us for this fun challenge!

Next Friday - Febuary the 1st  "Stuck on U Sketches" is celebrating

100th Sketch Blog Hop

There will be lots of RAK on the Designer Blogs..........most of us are joining in on the celebration, I hope you can too!!

Its been a busy week.......I'm off to see what you have been creating.

The Shabby Tea Room # 150

Hello, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I love the simplicity of this pretty jar that I chose for this weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge.......the theme is

"Just Pretty"

I  would like you to use stripes and add a flower to your creation.

"My Time Made Easy " is our sponsor this week.
I have used the Rolled Flower Bloom and BFF digital paper for the stripes. I did change the colour of the stripes a little so it matched other elements on my card better. Thats one thing I love about digi papers.....you can change them to suit what you are doing!!
I cut the Fleur-de-lis with Art Philosophy cricut cartridge, then embossed it with cuttlebug roses.
XOXO and Hugs is from Paper Sweeties Banner Wishes.

The Perfect Pearls around the edges is not so PERFECT.........I had finished making the card adding the
PP , then dropped it face down on my craft mat. Not the Perfect Pearl this time!!

I also made a pretty jar .
The Rolled Flower Bloom sits in the centre of the cricut flower.

Love the pretty leaf design on the jar.......I think I'll be buying more lime marmalade!!
The tags are also from MTME .....I used BFFs Valentines tags , which I resized and cut from BFF Valentines paper. Sweet" is from Paper Sweeties Pennant Party.

Late for Christmas............

But, Perfect for Valentines Day!!

A couple years ago I made this tree. I cut all the hearts from wood with a jig saw. My husband helped me with the tree........ and a terracotta pot from the garden.

This is the before photo.

And now all Shabby!

Originally I hung the hearts with wire........I cut that off and replaced it with twine.

Looking pretty for Valentines day!

I sanded the hearts back to show some of the colour underneath.

I love the  blog "LESSology" . It has been a while since I entered any of the challenges. (Too many other commitments) One of my all time favourite things to do is recycle and alter items.......and I just love Hearts!  So I made an extra effort to finish painting my tree , which I had started working on a few days before Christmas.
"You are my Sweetheart" is the challenge , add a heart and a recycled item to your creation. The only thing new is the twine.

Its the weekend tomorrow.......woo hoo
Enjoy

The Shabby Tea Room # 149

The theme for this weeks challenge at the "Shabby Tea Room" is Antique Roses .

Look at this pretty picture Rebecca has chosen for inspiration! She asks that you use colours from the photo plus a Rose, ribbon or lace.

Photo Inspiration #149

Janets digital paper is sponsoring this weeks challenge........I have used "Vintage tickets and Victorian French" files on my card.
"Have a Beautiful Day" is a Paper Sweeties stamp.

Here's a close up of the felt flower and pretty heart yo yo .....love making these!

I made the felt flower using a rolled flower cut from "Art Philosophy" cartridge. I am not the greatest at free hand cutting , so I created a template from cardboard in the size I wanted , then traced around the design onto felt, then I rolled it up just like paper.

Be inspired by the gorgeous projects the Shabby girls have created!!

Stuck on U die cuts

This week at Stuck on U Die cuts the challenge is to "Replace a letter in Your Title with a die cut shape and use scraps on your project."
Everything on my layout is from scraps except the background papers!!

I took this photo of Jordyn last year when we were on holidays.......it would have to be one of my favourites!
I cut the snow flakes and title from a cereal box. Joys of the Season was used for the snowflakes and Plantin School Book for Snow. I created the snow flake background using 'Art Philosophy .....love the white on white.  My go to cartridge for banners is...'Martha Stewart All Occasional Cake Art'. The pattern paper under the photo is all scraps. Don't you just love the cross stitched look of the hearts. This is a papermania stamp.

Come join us for this fun challenge........use up some of your scraps!

Last week I knocked my foot on a rock at the beach , after limping around all week I finally went and had an Xray. I have a fractured toe.......no wonder it hurt so much! Great excuse not to clean and just craft!

Enjoy your week.....Happy Crafting

Elegance......TSTR # 148

This week at "The Shabby Tea Room"  Starr is our creative host..........she has chosen a gorgeous photo to inspire you.
The theme is "Elegance"..............be inspired by the colours in the photo, add ribbon a bow and a flower.

A few months ago I purchased  these dress form shapes at the local Kaiser outlet store . They were a bargain price, because they were missing the section at the bottom to help them stand up. I was using these large cotton spools for lace.......(not any more) they were the perfect size to hold the dress form:)))

A little white spray paint, some lace, pearls, ribbon.......

Shabby "Elegance"

Paper Sweeties is sponsoring us this week........"You are Fabulous" was the perfect stamp choice for my creation.

This was so much fun to make.....I can't wait to start the next one!

The other Shabby girls would love if you stopped by , they have some gorgeous creations to show you.

"Moments"

Hi everyone,

I have followed the sketch that Nanne has designed for "Stuck on U Sketches" latest challenge.

Jane , Annette and I are all on the Stuck on U design team. On one of Jane's visits from Scotland we met with Annette......we enjoyed a fun day chatting getting to know each other over coffee! One of the girls came up with the idea for us to Scrap the same photo and see each others take on it. Make sure you visit SOUS to see what everyone has created!!.......I absolutely love what Jane and Annette have done with the sketch:))

As you can see I flipped the sketch to work better with the pretty papers.

Next week things around my house should be back to normal, my husband is still on holidays, so we have been spending lots of time at the beach.

More time to visit every one then.......thanks for visiting me
