Just Because

Hey Everyone,
Here is the latest card I've created following a sketch from 'Cardabilities'

The first thing I thought of when I saw  the white circle in the sketch was a Window. So thats what I did.......I used cricut 'Art philosophy to cut the card and window frame. A little embossing, lace, doilies.....the daisy is an old earing, buttons, new feather dies and sequins. I stamped a circular sentiment on the inside which you can just see.

Hope your week is going well
Happy Creating

Grateful for You .......Fun is Ahead

Happy Monday to You
Today I have two Design Team projects to show you.
The first one is for "The Shabby Tea Room".....love the simplicity of this inspiration photo.
The theme is Welcome Spring

My Card

How pretty is this collage of 'Tea Time tags from 'Digital papers by Janet Etsy' sponsor of this challenge.
I've cut the large border in strips to create a wood panel look for the background, a little gesso and some distressing of the edges. Can you tell how much I love sequins........they find a way onto most creations at the moment. Just love the extra sparkle!

Be sure to have a peek at what the other DT girls have created.
........................

My second project is for "Stuck on U Sketches Die cuts"
The theme is Industrial - gears, lamp/light, typewriter, sewing machine, camera........just a few ideas.
I decided to use a Typewriter from cricut 'Surburbia' cartridge. Using a typewriter font on my computer ,I printed out the details. The balloons were cut out of water colour paper using 'Celebration cartridge, then sprayed with colour shine.

How time flies!! Its hard to believe its been a year since these photos were taken.....Tori will be celebrating her 19th Birthday on Sunday.
Have a great week.......Happy creating

Live in the Sunshine

Hello Friends,
Yesterday I made some time to play around with this sketch and colour challenge from "Sketchy Boards"

Here's my second attempt.........Yep the first one ended up in the bin!

The Hexagons were cut using Cricut 'Art Booking cartridge', the Bow border is from 'Martha Stewart All Occasions cake art'. I did try mixing up the colours but it just wasn't working, so I stuck with the one pattern. A few of my fav things to embellish.....Heart buttons, sequins, doilies, stitching and flowers.

Its the weekend tomorrow.......Enjoy!

Hello

Rainbow of Colours
is the theme for the new challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room" along with this gorgeous photo for inspiration.
The first thing I did was fill a tiny bag with sequins the same colour as the tulips........then I designed my Easter themed card around it :)
Funny thing -  I was eating Blue Berries....the juice on my fingers was a pretty colour, I added a little water,  grabbed some seam binding ribbon , then scrunched. Don't you just Love how it turned out :)
"Paper Tempress" is our sponsor for this challenge.....I have used 'White Diamond' for the card base - and 'Pink Splash Vellum' embossed with Swiss dots. How adorable is the Easter image! You can find it HERE......Lori makes the sweetest cards with vintage images. This one is a free download.

Hope You have enjoyed a Happy Easter
......................................

My second card today is my DT creation for "Stuck on U Sketches"
The theme.....Clear Skies
examples - Bugs, Birds, Clouds, Moon, Sun, Planes, Rocket
Here is what I came up with.........a super simple card using "Artfully Sent" Cricut cartridge.
Just some blue glitter card behind and some gold ink splatters,
Ta da.......all done!  If you need a card in a hurry, this cartridge is for you!
So nice of you to visit
