Dreaming of a White Christmas

Merry Christmas!
Its such a busy time of the year....I still have a few presents to buy and cooking to do! Are you ready for Christmas?
Can you squeeze in another challenge?
Here is the last  Shabby Tea Room Challenge for 2016
Winter Wonderland
Such a Sweet picture!
I was inspired by the snowflakes.......I used a punch and die cut for the snow flakes. I added glitter to the background paper, a few crochet doilies and pretty sequin snowflakes from
Paper Sweeties....I've added some sequins to the heart stick pin too.
The sentiment....is from Paper Sweeties "Friendship Warms the Heart"
I hope you can join us!
I have had no time to visit...........I will catch up with you soon,
so nice of you to stop by...thank you!

More Christmas Creating.......

Hey Everyone.......just a super short post to share some Christmas creating. I am playing along with the
Kaiser challenge for December  which is a card sketch.

I 've layered a few different papers from Kaiser...The Christmas tree was stamped then  wrapped  in gold thread. The stamped image in the center of the rosette is a real favorite of mine. Love these colours for Christmas!
And
another Shabby little spool tree. Go Here to see how I created them.

The card and tree are a gift for a good friend of mine.
Here is the sketch I based the card design on.

Christmas creating

Hey Everyone.........Look what I have been making!
I could not buy what I needed.......soooooooo
I started with an old curtain rod , a few tools from the shed! Round disks used for joints inside teddy bears, sticks from my backyard.........and my husband! Well, after a number of failed attempts using the hand saw and the cuts being a bit wonky, my husband came to the rescue....using a table saw!

I glued the disks to the rod, some gesso, paint and sanding
Mod podge and glitter!
Ta da !

Lola and Anna.....loved their trees. { Anna is my lovely friend who keeps my stash full of those gorgeous doilies}
A great project to use up excess ribbon in you stash..........I'm off to make some more! I do have a collection of wooden spools that were my Grandmothers...I could not part with them. I enjoy having them on display in a jar.

Lori from "Choux Choux paper Art" has a fun Christmas /Winter challenge running.......I'm linking up!

Thank you so much for visiting

Visions of Sugar Plums....Day 2

Hello...this is my second post today.....to see what I've created for the latest Shabby Tea room challenge, go HERE

Welcome to Day 2 Visions of Sugar Plums

Today I have an Ornament shape card.

Art Philosophy cricut cartridge was used to cut the card shape.
I covered the snowflake overlay in white glitter........an easy way to add glitter is to cover your paper in 'Jac paper' first...then cut. Once cut pull back the protective layer.......you have a sticker.....cover in lots of glitter. This creates a really even surface of Sparkle :)
Love these pretty colours for Christmas!

All that Glitters is Snow

So nice of you to stop by to see what I've created for
Holiday Sparkle is the theme for this weeks challenge! How cute is this tiny Pink Christmas tree!
Create a card/project inspired by the photo.
As you can see my inspiration came from the cute little tree.
I found the image on Pinterest....love the vintage scene!
Some pretty papers, stitching, handmade doily, and a sprinkle of diamond dust for snow. I also dyed the seam binding ribbon, adding a fabric button.
Be sure to check out the gorgeous projects the other shabby girls have created HERE

Now for my project........ An Advent calendar!

This chalk board hangs in my family room/kitchen area......It usually has an inspirational quote on it. I used Cricut Artbooking for the tag shape and Art Philosophy for the scallop circle. The wreath stamp is CTMH 'Remarkable Wreath Seasons and Nature'......I used veramark to stamp it then white embossing powder. I used a punch for the small circle with CTMH 'Magical Days Holiday' with vesamark and gold embossing powder. I really like a shabby look so I left all the threads hanging. The tags are hanging on a plaited twine....a few pegs to hold the sweets.
You know.....the hardest part of the whole project was finding sweets that had wrappers to match the colour theme...lol !
I almost forgot...can you see the tiny pom poms on the tip of the tags?

Please visit the links to the other designers, they have some fabulous projects to show you..... have fun hoping:)
I'll be back tomorrow, hope you will join me

Homemade

Helloooooooo again
I'm back for my second post of the day (Scroll down to see Sketchy Boards)

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Inspiration challenge.
I was really excited when Debbie  asked me to  Guest design this month, after I won the October challenge.
I used my winning voucher to stock up on some more Paper Sweeties, which I have used today.

Create a card/project using this   Festive photo.
How will you be inspired?

How sweet is the Mason Jar! It was Die cut , stamped, embossed in gold and fussy cut to create more dimension. I tucked a little lace under the gingham paper layer.......more lace, buttons, doily, snow flake sequins........a few of my favorite things that have to go on most creations!
Be sure to visit Paper Sweeties blog to see  gorgeous projects the design team have created.

Happy Creating Everyone

25 Days until Christmas

Hey Everyone,
Its the countdown to Christmas day........have you done all your shopping? Or are you like me, "Haven't even started".... argh!

A new month...that means lots of new challenges.
Sketchy Boards inspiration  is really pretty.

I have combined the sketch with colours in the photo to create my layout. These photos were taken in Canada on Christmas day 2011. This was the first time 3 of my children had scene snow:) Looking at these photos, trying to keep cool in the heat.......the snow looks like a good place to be right now!
I've embossed some hearts on the kraft paper , along with some hand stitching. I  used a punch for the snow flakes...layering them with doilies and buttons, a sprinkle of sequins for a little sparkle.

Hope you get time to join us for the challenge
Have a wonderful week.........Happy Creating!
