Hello .......Its been a few weeks since I have posted anything here! I've kinda got side tracked painting furniture. My house consists of a mish mash of furniture....most of which I've found at OP shops. I paint each piece the same colour...shabby it up a little, then it all seems to work together. I've even started spray painting china and glass ware white. Anything I don't like the colour of, gets painted! All the items below were a dark wood.
I did put down the paint brush briefly to make a couple of cards!
Auzz Trinklets N Craft have lots of pretty "Shaker Mix"
First up I used my fuze tool to make a pocket......I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it did not work that well. So.... out came my sewing machine. I think the stitching looks a little more shabby any way with the odd thread hanging. I stamped the bird branch image on the pretty pink pattern paper then inserted it and lots of shaker mix to the pocket before stitching it closed.
Thanks for taking the time to take a peek at what I've been up to,
Happy Creating

I made this card for a 21st birthday. I stuck a few 21's to the background paper before adding a few extra to the pocket, along with lots of shaker mix. I think I was shaking the card too much and they have come unstuck......too late to fix, I'd already sewed the pocket shut!

ReplyDeleteHi Tracey - thanks for visiting my blog and leaving some sweet comments. Now I recognise your work from the fabulous Kraft entries. Your shabby chic furniture looks wonderful and your cards are lovely too. I'm a big fan of the shaker cards and now I see an easy way to make them with my trusty treadly. TFS
ReplyDeleteI love the furniture and the cards!
ReplyDeleteYour furniture looks awesome! LOVE the way you shabby chic it up! And your cards are fantastic... love the design on both cards... shakers are always so fun! Sorry to hear about your fuse tool... I had the same problem with mine... then a friend told me I was either going too slow or too fast when using it... which would count for it opening... UGH! I think it's like any other tool... we need to practice using it more.... :) I should pull it out and try it again... :)
