Three weeks ago my daughter gave birth to this little bundle of Joy...a baby boy! I am now a Nana😃so excited to welcome this little guy into our family.
As you can see I did not stick with the tradition valentine day colours....they didn't match his onesie. But I followed the sketch and added a big stitched Heart.

My Grandson's first scrapbook of many!

Hope you find some time to play along,

My first post for 2019

Hello...Happy New Year!
A bit late I know...but this is my first post for the year.
I have really missed entering challenges, so to kick start 2019 I have created a page using this sketch from

I have used a variety of washi tape to create the
background behind the photo. Paper, felt and crochet flowers a sprinkle of sequins, spatters of ink and some stamping for the title and leaves.

I just had to show you this cake I made for a friends 60th....I was so surprised when she asked me, because I had only ever made one previously and that was for my daughters baby shower. I think it turned out great for my second go!

My computer is a mess with photos! One of my goals this year is to get organised...print photos and get those unfinished projects complete! The thought of it is quite over whelming, but just getting started is a step in the right direction. Another goal, challenge, whatever you want to call too not buy any craft supplies and work with what I have! Now that is a challenge😄

Have a Happy Day

Time to play catchup!

A trip overseas, a wedding, birthdays and my parents visiting for four sure has been busy! Yep, its my monthly catch-up😊
First up is September Sketchy Board challenge.
Image may contain: text
Not a cog or gear to be seen here! I stuck with 'pretty' using a couple different stencils to create the background.
There is still time to enter...I look forward to seeing what you create!

Next - I used gorgeous 'Mintay' papers to create an origami box with a set of eight mini cards. I had fun sharing this idea with a few ladies at 'The Crafty Chain'

The mini cards are super simple, just a sprinkle of sequins and a variety of sentiments from 'Paper Sweeties'

The weather is warming up, Spring is in the Air!
I have used  'Mintay' Together collection to create this set of 3 Spring Themed shape cards. I used my cricut to cut the card shape .

You can join me next week at 'The Crafty Chain' for this card class, kits will also be available.

Blog catchup

When I think I'm back into some kinda regular routine  posting projects on my my mind it looks like a great plan but, it has not worked out! So, here is a catchup😃
August inspiration board for " Sketchy Boards" is really pretty! A gorgeous photo and fabulous sketch!
Image may contain: stripes
I have created this vintage page using a photo of my mum in her early twenties. The papers from Kaiser  "Keepsake collection" are really pretty! I won them by entering the Kaiser monthly challenge but have not used them up until now. I find it difficult to scrap very busy pattern paper, but I think it works because I kept the other layers plain to keep the focus on the photo.

Kraft Plus had a fun challenge - here is the recipe
No automatic alt text available.
My page...with lots of my favorite things.

Next - A friend asked me if I would make her 3 Welcome cards for family arriving from England for a holiday. I have used Altenew Beautiful day stamp set.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of teaching a class at'The Crafty Chain' workshop wonders event with these very talented ladies. It was my first ever teaching experience...omg I was nervous!
Thanks Shelley and Alison for having me and thanks Karen this collage.

So nice of you to stop by and take a peek at my lastest creation.
July challenge at Kaisercraft is all about "Flowers"
The hardest part of this challenge was choosing papers. There is just so many pretty Floral collections.....I decided on "Rose Avenue"
This is a photo of me.
Lots of fussy cut flowers combined with flowers that I made from Kaiser papers. I love adding a crochet doily in the center. The text says - Moments by moments we create life's adventures. I dry brush gesso over the title 'Imagine' then embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Can you see the tiny ceramic dove I tucked amongst the flowers?

Happy crafty Everyone,

Double page layout

Hey Everyone,
I have another entry for the Kaiser Bingo challenge and I'm also playing along with "Stick it Down" double page layout sketch challenge.

Double layout, Misting, Multiple photos, Family the line I'm following. I've combined a few older collections of Kaiser.......If you have ever been to Lola's house you would know these papers are perfect! Double brick walls , bird cages hanging every where, chicken wire- I've tucked  under a few photos, tassles, buttons....a real collectors paradise!

Thanks for a great sketch

Happy weekend

A layout and flowers

For my layout I chose - Black & White photos only, 2 photos, stitching and stencil.
Searching through a pile of black and white photos I found these pictures of Me as a baby and my Mum.
I've added  stitching around the vellum heart, then used a stencil to add the polka dots. Stamping in gold around the heart, a little lace, sequins and a pretty white doily.
I'm still making paper flowers for fun....the colours for these daisies were inspired by  a challenge at Paper and Peony by Chantal Larocque

Wishing you a wonderful weekend....Enjoy!

Flowers and more

Hello, Its hard to believe we are half way through the year already.
This is what I've been creating lately - I'm really enjoying making paper flowers! Practice makes perfect...well that is what I'm hoping! I used Pink printing paper to make these...I'm really happy with how they turned out. The petals are very easy to mold and the paper is cheap.

We have a great Sketch inspiration at "Sketchy boards" this month.

Image may contain: text

For my page I used a photo taken the day before Mothers day..the girls surprised me with a high tea and Flower arrangement class. It was so much fun! I did not follow the colour inspiration but I added a clock flair in my flower cluster, some machine stitching, a little stamping in the background...its pale pink so its a little hard to see in the photo. I made the flower from Foamiran.

More flowers.....still practicing!

A few things

Hey there... welcome to my monthly blog post! I hoped to get here sooner but April is a busy month for Birthdays, also my parent celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
I've had fun decorating gifts with paper the photo below, I tried to copy the flower on the pretty gift wrap.

My daughter has often asked for some flowers for her bed side table....I surprised her with these for her birthday, they look so pretty.

"Sketch Boards" has a great sketch and recipe for the May Challenge
Image may contain: text

The background paper is from a 12 x 12 paper pad....I used the left over strips at the top of the pad for the strips behind the photo adding texture with stitching.
The stars are brads, stamping, die cuts, and stickers for the journalling.

Well, that is it for now...Happy Crafting

Hello crafty friends,
Another month has flown by..........I thought I would pop in and update my very neglected blog and share with you what has been keeping me busy! I had good intentions on keeping things updated , but then we went on 2 weeks vacation and I'm still not back into any kind of routine!

Last week I felt like making paper flowers to brighten up my home

April Challenge at Sketchy boards is sure to brighten up your day...YELLOW and a fun sketch.
Image may contain: flower, plant and text
I used stamps to create the large circle and a paper doily for the small circle, a sprinkle of sequins and the perfect photos of sun flowers!

The next page is last months challenge that I forgot to share😬We needed to use die cuts....I used my cricut to cut the leaves, title and Crocodile!

These photos are what I've been working on this week!
A few before and after pics of furniture I've been shabbying up.
I've always hated our TV corner unit...what a difference a coat of paint makes. I looks cream in the photo but it is white. The bed has a black wrought iron head board and base...the posts look so much better white. Hmmm..there is not much left in my house that I haven't painted ! Only a couple more things and I should be done(maybe)?

Happy weekend to you
