Visions of Sugar Plums 2016 Day 2

Welcome back ........Time to show you what I have created for Day 2
 Visions of Sugar Plums

Trimming the Tree................Out of Pom Poms!

I made Pom Poms, then trimmed them into a tree shape. I  glued  two empty ribbons spools together then added a sprinkle of glitter.
I wrapped the top spool in ribbon , then tied a small bow. I typed a sentiment with my new type writer, then stuck it to the bottom spool and added a  tiny heart button.
I had so much fun making these!
also
A card and Envelope trimmed with Pom Poms. Its my Favorite thing this Christmas!

I used a pocket page card, washi tape and some cute buttons, crochet doily, sequins.....just a few of my favorite things!

and........more Pom Poms!

My tree trimmed with Pom Poms
To buy Pom Poms by the metre was really expensive.......then I found this huge ball of Pom Pom wool.
I've shared heaps with a friend and still have lots left over!

Up Cycle love

Its been a long time since I've entered a challenge at  "LESSology"..... Sorry to hear this will be the last one!
Lets get Organized is the theme for this month.
I like to organise my craft supplies in pretty containers!
Glitter...salt & pepper shakers

I've been going a bit crazy with spray paint, walking around the house looking for my next project to up cycle! I found this sugar bowl and spoon at an OP shop ( it was silver) I shabbyed it up with white spray paint, then sanded it so the silver would show through. For the spoon ......I cut a pretty rose image from a napkin, stuck it on with modpodge, then added a large pink gem.
No longer a sugar bowl........Its full of Diamond Dust and looks pretty on my craft table😊

This is my favorite shape spoon to collect...they look like pretty little shovels! Perfect for glitter and Diamond Dust!

Hey Everyone,

Look at this yummy drink to be inspired by!
Use the colours...
WHITEDark Blue, Light Blue/Aquawith a touch of Black and red!

My page

I used an Anna Griffin stencil to create the background
A sprinkle of flowers and sequins, die cut butterflies and crochet doilies. The stitching and mat behind photo are dark blue.
AND
OMG......Before I go I have to show you what I found yesterday at a local OP shop......check out the price tag! Yep...$10 and it is in perfect working order and the colour is also Perfect. So, today I spent some time cleaning my desk and re-arranging stuff so I could fit it on.

This made my day....doing a  little Happy Dance!

Scrap page

Today I'd like to show you a simple layout I created for "Auzz Trinklets N Kraft" November theme 'Strips and Stripes'.

The background is water coloured with some very subtle stamping. I used pattern paper for the stripes....below the photo I cut a strip of pattern paper gathered it up then added some machine stitching. The flowers and leaves were die cut using my cricut.
Such a cute design on the flare button below.

Enjoy your week Everyone

Christmas card

Hey Everyone........Just a super short post to share a Christmas card I created for this weeks "Atlantic Hearts " Sketch challenge.

My Card

I used Base camp Cricut cartridge to cut the letters....the stripe background paper is all sparkly but it does not show up that good in the photo.
I've been busy painting things around my home......I finished off  banisters on the stairs over the weekend ( oh how I hated doing them, so fiddly)  and today I have some stools to shabby up!
Hope you have are having a great day

Just Jeans

Happy Weekend to You!
I have enjoyed a nice relaxing day playing in my craft space, creating a  layout for  Kraft + Out of the Closet challenge

The first thing I thought of when I saw this challenge was JEANS and the collection of tags that I have kept, from jeans  I have bought. So this morning I took a photo of a few Jeans hanging in my wardrobe......there is more, but they are in the ironing pile, lol! My favorite colour is Blue and you can usually will find me in a pair of Jeans....short or long, faded, some have holes, then I have my dressy jeans :) I love denim and a lace! And as you can see I shop at "Just Jeans"
My Page

So excited to find this Guess Jeans button in my stash :) it was perfect for the center of the doily.

Thanks for a fun challenge Kraft +

Love that Smile

Hey, Hope you are having a great week!
Today I'd like to share a layout I created for
The theme for November is Strips and Stripes.

Be sure to check out the great selection of 'stamens' from the store. Here is a photo of just a few I have :)

I've used a Navy stamen in the center.
The flowers were die cut with Mothers day Bouquet cricut cartridge....I tried to create flowers similar to the ones in the background pattern paper. The leaves were also cut with the same cartridge, dipped in glue then covered in chunky glitter.

My two Girls..........Love that Smile

For the Strips and Stripes ...... I've added 3 strips of paper under the photo, love the fringed bottom.

The next few days around here are really busy....Thank you so much for the comments you leave, I will be visiting you soon.

With Love

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick post to share the card I created for "Atlantic Hearts" sketch challenge this week

My original idea was to use pattern papers like the sketch....but it just wasn't working! So, with some gold paint and a brush I created the background ..... a few splatters of gold and white paint, stamping, sequins.....and not forgetting a  crochet doily. How pretty is this Polaroid image!

So nice of you to visit

Time to Celebrate

Happy November
Its a New Month...time to show you the New
Challenge at "Sketchy Boards". What a great sketch and how pretty are the colours in this inspiration photo!

I decided to make a card combining the colors and sketch.

The scallop circles in the center were cut with Art Philosophy cricut cartridge then stamped with the coordinating stamp set. I die cut the flower using lots of layers of pink tissue paper.....I punched stamens then added a tiny pom pom to the center. I still have quite the supply of doilies, so I had to add them too. Love the chevron flair!

Hope you can play along, look forward to seeing your creation!

Christmas card

I'm So Happy to have completed another Christmas card using this Sketch from "Atlantic Hearts "
Just Wondering......Do you ever find the mood you are in, influences the colours you use when  creating a card or scrapbook page?  Just realized I do!
I had lots of bright pattern papers picked out but, I couldn't get them to work because of how I was feeling!

So, I went with white on white with a touch of gold to frame the pretty snowy scene. The background panels are embossed, a few punched out snowflakes .....and not forgetting a pretty crochet doily,I also added a tiny deer rubon to the scene.
Happy creating
