Out side the Box!

Hey Crafty Friends,
I'm still busy painting.....by the end of this weekend I should be done! Can't wait for Tuesday..thats when our new floor goes down, Yay๐Ÿ˜Š
Last night I took some time out to really challenge myself with "Kraft Plus Challenge"
Outside the Box
No rectangle or square photos

OK....I did plan on giving this month a miss ......I like my square and rectangles! But hey, its a challenge, time to step outside of my comfort zone. After thinking about it for a few days, I came up with this idea.
My Cas Layout
I  added this layout to Kraft plus face book page......after looking at it I felt something was missing, so I added and extra layer of green behind the photos to link with the green border and a few more drops of gold colour shine. I found the quote on Pinterest.......A tip - if you hate your hand writing like me, just print out the quote , then use transfer paper( I used 'Saral' Graphite) to transfer your words to the page. I then used a black pen to trace over the top.

Live Life in Full Bloom

Hello,
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Mothers Day!
The theme for  May at Auzz Trinklets N Craft Blog is
  Mothers Day.

I've created this layout using a Beautiful photo of my mother. I called my mum to find out how old she was in this picture...... She said  " In that photo I am wearing a pale pink angora sweater with pearls" She is 19 or 20.
Hmmm...If I had known  before creating this page, my colour choice might have been different?

I have kept the colours very soft, tone on tone....so they would not take away from the photo.

I have used Altenew "Dahlia Blossoms" stamps and dies to create the three large lemon flowers and leaves. For the small flowers I used Memory box Cherry Blossoms.
The text does not show up very well in the photo.......It reads " Live Life in full Bloom"

I really appreciate you stopping by!  I must apologize for not visiting you.....I'm still very busy painting! In between sanding and coats of paint I try to do a little craft to keep up with DT commitments. The new floor goes down in two weeks time...so looking forward to it!

Have a great week

Happy Mothers Day

Auzz Trinklets N Craft theme for May is 'Mothers Day'

My Mum loves the colour orange.......I created this card for her using 'Altenew Brush Art Floral'

I used chalk inks to stamp the flowers and leaves. The heart shape card was die cut with my cricut using 'Lifes a Party' cartridge. I used foam to mount the top layer to the card for added dimension.

A splatter of gold colour shine and a few sequins.

More flowers inside.
I've had this stamp for ages.....I'm using here for the first time. I really like the shape of the flowers! I think you are going to see it a lot more๐Ÿ˜Š

A few things :)

Hello .......Its been a few weeks since I have posted anything here! I've kinda got side tracked  painting furniture. My house consists of a mish mash of furniture....most of which I've found at OP shops. I paint each piece the same colour...shabby it up a little, then it all seems to work together. I've even started spray painting china and glass ware white. Anything I don't like the colour of, gets painted! All the items below were a dark wood.

I did put down the paint brush briefly to make a couple of cards!
Auzz Trinklets N Craft have lots of pretty "Shaker Mix"

First up I used my fuze tool to make a pocket......I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it did not work that well. So.... out came  my sewing machine. I think the stitching looks a little more shabby any way with the odd thread hanging.  I stamped the bird branch image on the pretty pink pattern paper then inserted it and lots of shaker mix to the pocket before stitching it closed.

I made this card for a 21st birthday. I stuck a few 21's to the background paper before adding a few extra to the pocket, along with lots of shaker mix. I think I was shaking the card too much and they have come unstuck......too late to fix, I'd already sewed the pocket shut!

Thanks for taking the time to take a peek at what I've been up to,
Happy Creating

Hello Everyone.....I've been so busy painting furniture, my blog is being neglected at the moment. But today, I  have two card to share with you ....the first one is for "Auzz Trinklets N Kraft"
I just love the theme for April "Shabby"
Here is a close up of the first card using lots of Pretty flowers, stamen clusters and sequins. I used a script stamp to add detail to the background paper along with some tiny white paint dots.

Die cut leaves, berry branch and doily. The butterfly is stamped then fussy cut out. I also added Nuvo crystal drops to the tip of the berry branch...I think you can just see it in the photo.

Be sure to visit Auzz Trinklets N Craft

Next up is "Sketchy Boards" April inspiration Board

Hey..........Happy Monday!
"Kraft Plus" has a great challenge this month
" Denim Revolution"

Image may contain: shoes

I bought this pair of babies jeans from an Op shop a few months ago for $2 to repair a pair of my jeans.  Time to continue cutting....so much fun!

I cut circles of denim , layered with some lace and a button for the flowers. I love the fringe of denim...and I also used the belt tabs.

The Dream Catcher is from 'Wplus 9'. I bought it from "Auzz Trinklets N Craft

Hello Everyone,
I'm back Home after enjoying a fabulous Holiday in Canada and Hawaii catching up with family. I took hundreds  and hundreds of photos....I can't wait to get organised and start scrapping them!
I was fighting fit the whole holiday...I get off the plane one day and wake up with a cold the next, I hope to be feeling better soon. So since I don't feel like doing much, its the perfect time to catch up on what you have been creating! Also a Big Thank you to you, for leaving comments  on my few scheduled posts ๐Ÿ˜Š

Next up are a couple projects I created before I went away, but ran out of time to post them here.

First up is "SKetchy Boards" Challenge for March

Image may contain: sky and outdoorImage may contain: text

I went with a pastel version of the colour inspiration and stuck quite close to the sketch.

I look forward to seeing how you are inspired.

All Shades of GREEN is our inspiration for March at
"Auzz Trinklets n Craft"

I added ink to an embossing folder, lightly spraying it with water. Then using water colour paper I pressed it down firmly on the embossing folder to create the design. I used the same technique on my last card......its  a great way to use the pretty designs instead of dry embossing!  The butterflies were die cut from the doily design.

The stamp set I have used is  Papertrey Ink "Button Boutique". It is an older collection! Did you know Neha can order lots of products on request......if you don't see it in the store just ask....there is a good chance she can get it in for you๐Ÿ˜Š
The large heart is Die cut from corrugated card, a few wooden buttons to embellish along with "Nuvo Crystal Drops" for the center of the lace flowers and a sprinkle of sequins.

Enjoy you week...Happy Creating x

Cherish

Hey Everyone,
So nice of you to stop by๐Ÿ˜Š
"Romance" is the theme this month at "Auzz Trinklets N Craft"

For the background I inked up a favorite embossing folder....love the cross stitched hearts! I layed it on top of damp water colour paper. I die cut the hearts from water colour paper too ...which I coloured with Gelatos. Love the fabric button I found in my stash.

Enjoy your Week

Romance

Hello......I'm back today to share a layout I created using a few products for "Auzz Trinklets N Craft"

February is the month of Romance ๐Ÿ’•
The inspiration for my page came from an image in a book I was reading, with this quote . I decided to re-create it and add a photo. Super simple page but I love how it turned out๐Ÿ˜Š

For the title I first tried stamping it, but it was not bold enough ( I managed to rub it out...you can probably see it a bit...(its now called a shadow) I then decided to die cut it, which I like a lot better. I used my cricut and Base Camp cartridge.
The Boat is also Die cut from Lifes a Beach.
I stamped the white background with 'Rubbernecker' Daisy Duo.
I embossed hearts on the sails of the boat, then embellished it with lot of bits and pieces from my stash. A favorite being the tiny heart buttons. XOX was also stamped.

Thanks so much for Looking
I have a few scheduled posts this month...I will not be able to visit you! When you read this I will be in Canada freezing my bum off๐Ÿ˜ŽSo excited to be surprising my father in law for his 90th Birthday.
When I get back I'll play catch up!

Happy Creating!

Hello Friend

Hey.......How could I not make time to play along with this months "Kraft Plus Challenge"......these are my favorite colours , and its a fabulous sketch!

You may have noticed that on most of my projects I add these gorgeous tiny doilies. My friend Anna makes them......its her birthday next week, so I made her this card featuring her crochet doilies . I love how she leaves the long threads hanging! I twisted them from one doily to the other to represent the banner on the sketch๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Weekend Everyone,
Enjoy

I have a busy day ahead ......things to do, place to be.

sketchy boards February

Hello and welcome to February!
My Blog has been a bit neglected lately, I don't think I'm quite back into the swing  of things  yet since having a break at Christmas. I've been busy in the garden instead.....Trying to create my own tropical paradise around the pool ......lots of shoveling dirt and mulch. Its looking good.

Any way on to my project for "Sketchy Boards" challenge
I had fun with the sketch and gorgeous colour inspiration.

My Page

As I was looking for photos to use with the sketch I came across the index prints of our day in Santa Cruz....then I had this idea! The background paper from Kaiser was  perfect ! I just added some splashes of paint, a sprinkle of sequins, some stitched clouds and a flare button. I die cut the title with my cricut and Base camp cartridge.
I'm creating a pocket page album for the trip......with a few 12 x 12 title pages.

I'm planning on finishing the album this year.....I just take so many photos! Its taking me forever!!!!!

Hope you can join the challenge

Happy Crafting
