Hey there, thought I better share my page for "Sketchy Boards" November challenge before its December ! !
I wasn't feeling hexagons when I created this page....instead I stenciled a few circles in the background.

Next....Papercraft Secrets October sketch challenge
 Image may contain: text
Hexagons again! Sometimes I like them...but not this time, lol! I really love how the hearts look. Do you ever find it hard to photograph white?  I tried a few times taking photos of this page, its a bright white but here it looks grey.

My blog updates are hit and miss lately.....actually most of this year! So many other things to do that have taken priority.
I really appreciate you popping by
Hope you are enjoying lots of crafty time.

Catching up!

Happy Spring....Where has the year gone? Its hard to believe that its September already. And this week we are having summer temps.
Today I have a few pages to share...

No photo description available.
This is a photo of my gorgeous grandson reading Dr Sous
I had fun making a star shaker. I used my cricut to cut the star and draw the title...Oh the places you'll go.

Next.....I played along with another sketch challenge at Paper craft secrets
Image may contain: flower
Here is a close up
I decided to create a single page with the double sketch.
The pretty papers and flowers are Indigo mist collection from Rosie's Studio, except the background which is Kaiser. I used my cricut to cut the heart banner.

Last up is this page for "Kraft plus" The theme for August was Nursery Rhymes. Straight away I knew the photos I was going to use. I started this page a week ago, it was not coming together...I gave up. Then a few days ago I tried again.....ta da!  I'm really happy with how it turned out. The silhouette image is cut from the cricut cartridge Nursery Rhymes.
Here is my son sitting on my daffodils.

Well I think that is me up to date!

Sketchy Boards challenge

Hello there,
My Blog posts are few and far between right now! I have so much going on , lots of changes....at times its been a real struggle to create. I think I spent a few weeks looking at the sketch below trying to work out what to do. Anyway, finally inspiration came to me...lol
So, here is Sketchy Boards Challenge for August
The background paper is from an old Kaisercraft collection. I have kept the colours all along the same tone so the photo remains the focus of my page. I've die cut lots of doilies.... sprinkled with sequins and gems.
Handmade flowers with crochet doilies and pretty roses.

My plan over the next week is to catch up on visiting you.
Wishing you a great weekend

Happy Hour

Hey Everyone,
Sketchy Boards has a fun sketch and  photo for July's challenge.
No photo description available.
I was inspired by the clock.....and the colour Aqua.  I just noticed the time on the clock - don't they say 'its 5 o'clock somewhere'🍷The title of my page is 'HAPPY HOUR'

Super simple page with fun papers completed for my Hawaii Album.

I also wanted to share a card I made last week. I used my cricut to cut the heart shape card and heart overlay. I added a heart shape brad and buttons.  I just wanted lots and lots of hearts!
This was made for a very special person💗

Enjoy Every day

LOVE PINK

Hey Everyone,
Have you seen the fun challenge at "Sketchy Boards" for June?
Pink, Flamingos and a great sketch
Lets start with some close ups.
Recently my daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous holiday in Hawaii......this photo was taken in  Victoria Secret. The store display was so cool, a great photo opportunity I thought!
I googled "Victoria Secret" cut file, not really thinking I'd find anything! Bingo.......Perfect!
I kind of followed the sketch.
Can you see my title font is the same as the font in the photo!
Enjoy your week, Happy Creating

Sketchy Boards

Hey Everyone,
I'm a little late posting the latest challenge at "Sketchy Boards" , but I have a good reason, I've been in Hawaii🌴🌺....enjoying a fabulous holiday with my daughter. We took so many photos, expect to see some on  layouts soon.
Here is the inspiration picture and sketch for May
Image may contain: text
As soon as I saw the graffiti wall I knew straight away what photo I was going to use.  I printed it to fit the page! I added a few circle elements from the sketch....Live Love Laugh and Believe are rubons, a few chipboard embellies and a flair. The large title I cut with my cricut.
Its a super simple layout but I love how it turned out.
Have a great week

2 Challenges.

Hi Everyone,
It has been lots of fun having a little more time to scrap and enter some challenges.
I have quite a collection of Floral themed stamps from Altenew.....Thought it was time to put them to used and create a layout for the challenge based on the sketch below.
Go floral Sketch Challenge #14 Sketch @SandraDietrich for @Altenew
I have used a combination of 'Beautiful day and Garden treasure ' stamps. Water colours were used to colour them in.

This is a really special photo of me and my Nana taken on her 100th Birthday.

Next........Sketchy Boards mini Easter challenge using this pretty picture as inspiration.
Image may contain: food
Featuring my Grandson ......3 months old, taken on Easter Sunday.
The bunny is part of a cut file I bought on cricut....I enlarged it to fit the page adding some stitching and of course some tiny doilies. I water colored the heart background using a stencil I created on cricut.

Hope you are enjoying a crafty day.

Sketchy Boards

Happy April Everyone!
Can you believe its nearly Easter?

Time for a new Challenge
I loved this months sketch at Sketchy Boards
 No photo description available.
This is a photo of my daughter...she had nine weeks to go until her due date.
In January we welcomed a gorgeous baby boy!
I used Oxide inks and stamps to create the background. I just noticed I made a mistake with the 'year'...I changed everything on the date stamp except the year! I also nearly forgot the butterflies, they are rubons. I have so many rubons..I'm really trying to stash bust them.

Hope you can join us for the challenge....follow the link above!

Sketchy Boards Challenge

Happy February
The month of LOVE💕

Look at the fabulous sketch for "Sketchy Boards" challenge this month.
Image may contain: shoes

Three weeks ago my daughter gave birth to this little bundle of Joy...a baby boy! I am now a Nana😃so excited to welcome this little guy into our family.
As you can see I did not stick with the tradition valentine day colours....they didn't match his onesie. But I followed the sketch and added a big stitched Heart.

My Grandson's first scrapbook page...one of many!

Hope you find some time to play along,
Happy Scrapping

Time to play catchup!

A trip overseas, a wedding, birthdays and my parents visiting for four days.......it sure has been busy! Yep, its my monthly catch-up😊
First up is September Sketchy Board challenge.
Image may contain: text
Not a cog or gear to be seen here! I stuck with 'pretty' using a couple different stencils to create the background.
There is still time to enter...I look forward to seeing what you create!

Next - I used gorgeous 'Mintay' papers to create an origami box with a set of eight mini cards. I had fun sharing this idea with a few ladies at 'The Crafty Chain'

The mini cards are super simple, just a sprinkle of sequins and a variety of sentiments from 'Paper Sweeties'

The weather is warming up, Spring is in the Air!
I have used  'Mintay' Together collection to create this set of 3 Spring Themed shape cards. I used my cricut to cut the card shape .

You can join me next week at 'The Crafty Chain' for this card class, kits will also be available.

Happy creating

Blog catchup

When I think I'm back into some kinda regular routine  posting projects on my blog....in my mind it looks like a great plan but, it has not worked out! So, here is a catchup😃
August inspiration board for " Sketchy Boards" is really pretty! A gorgeous photo and fabulous sketch!
Image may contain: stripes
I have created this vintage page using a photo of my mum in her early twenties. The papers from Kaiser  "Keepsake collection" are really pretty! I won them by entering the Kaiser monthly challenge but have not used them up until now. I find it difficult to scrap very busy pattern paper, but I think it works because I kept the other layers plain to keep the focus on the photo.
Image may contain: 1 person, smiling

Kraft Plus had a fun challenge - here is the recipe
No automatic alt text available.
My page...with lots of my favorite things.

Next - A friend asked me if I would make her 3 Welcome cards for family arriving from England for a holiday. I have used Altenew Beautiful day stamp set.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of teaching a class at'The Crafty Chain' workshop wonders event with these very talented ladies. It was my first ever teaching experience...omg I was nervous!
Thanks Shelley and Alison for having me and thanks Karen this collage.

Enjoy your week, Happy crafting
