Family

I only have a matter of minutes to link up to Stuck?
Talk about cutting it fine!
Earlier in the week I started this page...2 attempts in the bin, 3rd time lucky. Sometimes what you have in mind, does not come together on paper.
The sketch

This is a very old photo of my grandparents and great grandparents. I need to call my mum to find out what year it was taken...then I'll add it to the page.  Originally I had the title 'family' more to the left, but then  noticed the vintage style camera my grandmother is holding, I did not want to cover it up, so I centered the title over the photo.

I've tried to keep the page a little vintage looking with the colours, crochet doilies and a touch of gold. The large banner is embossed for added texture.

Happy March

Sisters

Hey Everyone,
So much for Spring weather....... we have skipped it and gone straight to Summer! The temperatures this weekend are in the 30 's, tomorrow they are expecting 35 c...which is a record for September.
So, if you are not at the beach keeping cool, inside in my craft space playing along with some challenges is a great place to be!

When I was young the photos my parents took were slides. Recently mum had some printed for me.......its fun to see these photos of my sister and I. How cute are our hats 😊

I appreciated you stopping by....thank you

Smile

Hey Everyone,
Today, I had fun playing with this fun sketch from " Stuck?"
A great opportunity to de-stash some scrap paper. I tried using different colours , but nothing seemed to work....so I went with a variety of greens with different patterns, then added a pop of  colour with flowers, enamel dots and a butterfly.

Have a great week.......I appreciate you stopping by, THANK YOU😊

My husband loves snow skiing........Since moving to Australia , skiing is the one thing he misses about Canada. So, it was wonderful to see him have so much fun skiing Whistler and Blackcomb mountains with our son who is working in Whistler at the moment!
The # chip board title is perfect!
Lots of die cut glittery snow flakes, the maple leaf heart is die cut using 'Go Canada' cricut cartridge.

Stuck?

Hey Everyone,
I've been busy scrapping holiday photos....I really like playing along with "Stuck?" Sketches.

First up is this sketch...I really like the idea of adding a large title!
I've used pretty papers from Kaiser 'Island Escape' collection. I made the flowers using my cricut and flower market cartridge....a little inking and moulding to form the shape. This was my first try of  fresh 'Coconut milk'...it was yum. Loved eating the coconut afterwards too!
next up is this sketch
This photo was taken at 'Yosemite National park'.....Tunnel View. Every photo I took looked like a postcard, the views were amazing! I've layered lots of tags, a few pretty flowers which I've had in my stash forever...they match the pattern paper perfectly and wooden buttons. The title is chip board.....it was quite a few different colours before I decided to keep it neutral and inked over everything with white, I thought it looked better blending with the background.
Thank you for visiting
Enjoy you week

Fun Scrapping

Hello Everyone,
This week I decided to take some time out from painting and have   fun catching up on some scrapping!
I have two pages to show you.......First up.......I really liked this sketch from "STuck?"

My page
I used my cricut to cut the large heart and stars. The xox are stamped around the edges, a little water colour and some bits and pieces.

 Next up
The theme on the blog this month at "Auzz Trinklets n Craft" is STENCILS

I can't remember the last time I created a Double page...I really enjoyed just using 4x6 photos. I have lots of landscape holiday photos that I don't want to crop! I'm combining these pages with project life style scrapping.

For the background I used 'Altenew Draped Floral Stencil' and chalk inks in soft colours.
The pretty flowers and leaves are from 'Altenew Beautiful Day' stamp. Only the outline stamp was used, I then used gelatos to colour them in.

thanks for visiting me today
