Beautiful Blue......TSTR #160

Hello Blog friends..........I hope you enjoyed a very Happy Easter!

"Beautiful Blue"
is the theme for this weeks challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.
Starr has chosen this gorgeous photo and asks that create a project using the colours "Blue, White and Kraft and add a sentiment.

Blue is my favourite colour......I just love it! Its one of those colours that just makes me feel good:))
So , I couldn't wait to start creating something.
This is what I came up with......
A pretty blue and white box.

'Just Because You are Special' are stamp sentiments from Paper Sweeties .............who is sponsoring this challenge.
I made the white flower , adding a doily and resin flower to the center. The tiny frame is Melissa Francis.

Here is the before photo.......I bought some plates which came in this box.

Be sure to have a look at the "Beautiful Blue" projects the other shabby girls have created!

The Shabby Tea Room #152

Please go HERE if you are Blog Hopping with SOUS

Hello Shabby Tea Room fans.................look at this gorgeous photo Lenet has chosen to inspire you this week! The theme is "Happy Birthday"....Lenet asks that you use the colours Pink and Blue.

I really enjoy making pretty gift boxes!
My flowers were created using a punch with water colour paper. I added a touch of pink with water colour crayons.
I was hoping they would turn out kinda close to the ones in the photo!

Paper Sweeties is our sponsor this week..........."You're a Treasure" is from You are Amazing sentiment stamp set.

I covered the box with a wall paper border that I had found at an  OP shop......then painted it white. Love the embossed look and texture it adds to the outside of the box.

The other Shabby girls would love to show you their gorgeous creations.

Its taken me all week to finally get back here and show you the Heart box I transformed with the help of this pretty inspiration photo from "The Shabby Tea Room"

I thought you might like to see what I started with!
The butterfly and picket fence are Kaiser, the oval frame is Melissa Francis and my friend Anna crocheted all the gorgeous doilies - thankyou so much Anna.

I'm so excited to be chosen as one of the new Design Team members using this box as my entry............Woo HOO!

Thankyou so much for visiting...........I have had a very busy week, I'll be stopping by to see you soon.

Pretty Hearts...........

Hi everyone, I'm back to show you the project I made for "Lessology". If you haven't heard its a new challenge blog .......which is all about Up cycling.

The Trinket Box Challenge! :) Don't we love having little boxes holding fun little treasure we have? Decorate an existing box or make one from scratch! Remember to include at least ONE upcycled item on your creation!
I just love HEART anything.............I've had this box stored in a cupboard for along time, this challenge was the perfect opportunity to give it a new look.
Here is the before picture.

Look at how pretty it is now!

I made the flower using the "Flower Shoppe" cartridge.........can you see the petals are Heart shape too??
I 've used Kaiser paper........the background is "Timeless" and for the flower I used their new collection "Bonjour".

The centre of the flower is a very old earing.  I love fairies too, so I added it............and some more pretty Hearts.

Here is a photo to show you how old it is..........

I painted the inside pink.............and hated it. So then I had the idea to paint a crackle medium over it before I changed the colour. I love how it turned out all old looking!

My box will be used to store all my pretty HEART shape trinkets.

This box was one of a set .............I can't wait to cover the rest now!
Hope you like it
Thank you for a great challenge
