Merry Christmas

Hey Everyone,

I've been thinking about this challenge at Kraft Plus all month...I was in all directions! Then last night I decided on just a basic window on my page.

'I Can See Clearly Now'

Use something see-through on your layout.
Think vellum, plastic, glass, bubble wrap etc etc.

The hardest part of this page was finding a suitable photo!

The brick background design, window frame, flowers, and banner were all cut with my cricut. The branches and leaves were all cut using Tim Holtz dies. I also managed to add my favorite crochet doilies. 😍The Christmas lights are rubons. My clear element is sequins and recycled packaging for the window panes.

Kraft + Roses 3 ways

Oh how I love flowers.....I could not wait to get started 😊

I've used a gorgeous photo of the wedding party from my daughters wedding.

I used my cricut to cut the wreath from 'Flower Market' cartridge and 'Flower Shoppe' cartridge for the large pink roses.

Rose back round paper, resin rose, tiny red paper roses, a rose flair and stamped roses. I've also added a few tiny white doilies.....can they be white roses? I've also added two super cute tiny ceramic doves....they are a little hard to spot :)

Funky flairs

Hi Everyone,

I haven't had anything to share the last couple weeks......but I have been busy scrapping, trying to get ahead on a few DT projects for July.

 All done, so now I have time to play along with some challenges before the end of the month.

'Love you Just the way you are' chipboard title is from 'Scrapping Outback' which I won in a challenge. I painted it in a pale pink crackle paint.......its hard to see in the photos.

Here is a a few closeups of a pretty heart 'Flair' and a Flower I made using 'Flower Shoppe' cricut cartridge.

Neha from "Auzz Trinklets n Krafts" has a fabulous collection of Stamens which I love using on  my paper Flowers. My friend Anna crocheted the gorgeous flower.

Some projects....

I think most of today I have spent on the computer playing catch up visiting some of my favorite blogs. I really enjoy seeing what you have been creating........but lately, there is not enough hours in the day. So if I haven't stopped by , I will very soon.

Here is what I have been up to.........My daughter and her partner recently announced their engagement. In a few weeks time we will be celebrating so, I have been busy making decorations for the party.

Washi tape to add a little sparkle to the pegs.

Pretty Banners

The tassels are all cut ready to fold........I just through them over the string to get an idea of colour. The banner shape was cut using Pretty Pennants cricut cartridge , I used Art Philosophy for the hearts. 

Last week .......On Melbourne cup day ( Biggest horse race in Australia) I had a few friends come over for a very casual card making day.  We enjoyed a few champagnes and created! 

I put  some kits together .....here are the Christmas cards we made.

 Don't you just love this new inspiration photo at "The Shabby Tea Room" !

 The challenge is to create a  project using only Neutral colours.....white, cream, kraft, brown, tan, black, silver or gold!

Before you look at my card I have some Exciting news to tell you......Debbie  asked me to re-join The Shabby Tea Room Design Team. I really enjoy playing along with the challenges, so of course I said Yes.

here is my card :)

"Live Love Grow" is a Paper Sweeties stamp.

I cut the Flower and leaves using Flower Shoppe cricut cartridge. The Glitter white frame is from Art Booking. I splattered gold colour shine over the crinkle ribbon.....so everything sparkles!

Poison

Hey Everyone, 

Happy Halloween

The challenge at "Stuck on U Sketches" is anything Halloween. Let's see those Spooky die cuts! 

I really had no idea what I was going to create?  I really liked the 'POISON' sign from cricut Happy Haunting cartridge.......that was my starting point then I went from there.

I used Flower Shoppe for the flowers and black glittery leaves. The Spider web was cut using 'Art Booking' cartridge.

I'm on my was out the door.....late for an appointment and I'm late posting this.
Seems to be how things are lately.........late for everything! I think I am trying to squeeze to much into a day :)

So nice of you to visit.......Sorry I have not had a chance to see what you been creating, I will soon.

This past week I have found it so hard to create.......last Thursday our dog of 14 years died quite suddenly! We all have been so sad.......we feel like we have lost a family member! This afternoon I got a wonderful surprise,  Our Vet delivered a gorgeous arrangement of flowers and a beautiful card.
So thoughtful :)

Great Outdoors

Hey Everyone,

This past week the weather has really started to warm up.......summer is on its way :)

But on the other side of the world its 'Autumn' and that is what the latest die cut challenge at 

 'Stuck on U Sketches is all about!

Create anything Autumn related.

Another layout completed for my holiday album. We absolutely loved 'Yosemite National Park', I have so many more photos left to scrap........I'm combining this page with project life style - I will add all my journalling to the pocket pages.

I used 'April Showers' cricut cartridge for the tree and 'Flower Shoppe' for the leaves. Love the tiny doilies my friend crochets and a cute owl button :)

I really look forward to seeing what you create!

Stuck on U....die cut challenge

Hello everyone, 

We have a fun challenge at Stuck on U die cuts  this week............with Christmas only a few weeks away we would love to see your creations with a die cut GIFT! The design team have created some fabulous layouts and cards to inspire you.

I have created some gift boxes using Art Philosophy cartridge...this is the pillow box cut.

I used Flower Shoppe to cut the Poinsettia. 

 And here's my huge glittery paper bow......I just love this cut from 3D bows digital cartridge. The tags are from Sweet Treats. I cut these boxes at 'Fit to page' which measures 9 1/2 inches.

I hope you enjoyed my packaging ideas!

Its officially the first day of Summer tomorrow........we are experiencing really warm temperatures already, Love it!

Sweet Treats........

Hi Everyone,

Today I’d like to show you a few things I made for my daughter, she  celebrated her birthday recently .

The cake stand is one of her gifts……it came with a gorgeous glass dome lid.  I thought “Why not make some cakes that she can display , when there are no baked cakes on it .

This is such a short post..........my weeks are getting so  busy! Today I was at the school canteen again.........Had a fun day giving the Ladies in the office a lesson on how to make a Christmas tree out of coat hangers.

Guest Designer

Hey everyone........I'm back today to show you a card I have made following the new sketch at 

"Die Cuttin Diva's".

I am so excited to be  their guest designer .......... thank you so much for having me:-) 

Here's the sketch

Not knowing what to do initially!   I started out by making flowers........using Flower Shoppe cartridge and cutting them from water colour paper, then colouring them with stampin up water colour crayons. I really love the soft effect this created. I used Art Philosophy for the frame, painting it white with Tim Holtz crackle paint.

The card started to come together .........so, here it is!
I also cut two small butterflies from water colour paper.

I have a friend who's favourite colour is purple...........I hope she likes this card!

Autumn

Its time for another die cut challenge at "Stuck on U Sketches"

We would like to see   Die cuts of the words Autumn or Fall ........and add them to your creation.

A few weeks ago I showed you a layout where the theme was Autumn or Fall - With this weeks challenge I decided to use more photos that were taken on the same day and make my layout a double. I die cut the word Autumn on the banner using the cartridge Martha Stewart All Occasional Cake Art.

Other cartridges I used are ...... The tree - serenade, Leaves - Flower Shoppe, Bird - Winter Wonderland

Hey Pumpkin.......TSTR #138

Hello, 

Its a brand new week at  The Shabby Tea Room:)

Look at this adorable photo  Rebecca has chosen to inspire you!

" Hey Pumpkin " is the theme. Oh, so cute!

Rebecca asks that you create a card or project inspired by the colours and include a Flower:)

I took my inspiration from the pretty colours and the gorgeous sun flower.

I used Walk in my Garden cricut cartridge to cut the bottom layers of the flower then added some layers of tule that I coloured with some spray ink, a pretty doily and a vintage button. Oh, and a touch of gold glitter:)

I also dyed the seam binding to match.....I like the uneven look of it!

School is Cool.........

This weeks Stuck on U Sketches Die cut challenge is

"School is Cool"

I decided to use a photo of my son, taken at his Grade 12 Formal. 

In this photo he thought he looked very COOL........and look how pretty Kate's dress is!  As you can see I took inspiration from all the colours in her dress for my layout.

Art Philosophy cartridge was used to cut the doilies, flourish, leaves, ribbons and dark pink roses. I used Flower Shoppe for the rest of the flowers. 'Moments' was cut using Wall Decor and More.

Garden Party

Hello.........

Garden Party is the theme for this weeks challenge  at "The Shabby Tea Room".

And

I am so excited to be their guest designer this week.........what an Honour!

Look at this pretty picture for inspiration.

I liked it so much I decided to do my version of it with the Cricut!

'Picturesque' cartridge was used to cut the gate and branch and the flowers are from 'Flower Shoppe'.

The paper collection is 'Bonjour' by Kaiser..........it is a real favourite of mine.

I used Glossy Accents to highlight the bird and add dimension. The flowers have a sprinkling of Diamond Dust.

Just a Card

Hello and Happy Mothers Day to everyone.........I have had a great day! And if you are just starting your day 

"ENJOY"

I have a card to show you that I have made for The Shabby Tea Room .

It always has the most gorgeous inspirational photos, I just have to play along......sometimes I wish I could just re-create the photo! 

This week we need to add a rose to our creation.

Using "Flower Shoppe' cartridge I cut lots of little rolled flowers to make the roses.

Here's the close up!

 The watering can was cut using 'April Showers' cartridge.....I embossed the word LOVE on the front of it.

 The ribbon is crepe paper.

Yes I know............nothing like this pretty photo but the idea behind it is their:)

I have been busy working on some layouts...........I hope to be back soon to show you.

Sweet 16................

Hello..............Its my daughter birthday today , Sweet 16 

I'd like to show you the cake shape box I made for her.

I had started making this box when I saw this weeks challenge at 'The Shabby Tea Room'

Look at this gorgeous photo to be  inspired by.......add ribbon or lace and flowers.

I can imagine my slice of cake being part of this pretty garden party setting:)

I used Sweet Tooth cartridge to cut the box.

Can you see the little Tea pot, next to the deeper  pink flower? This was an earing.

I cut some cute strawberries from the 'Spring Cottage' cartridge to put in the box with her gift.

I used 'Flower Shoppe' for the flower and 'Picturesque' for the leaves. 

And here's her card with a big glittery 16.

I'm not sure if you can read it or not........above the 16 is another earing , that says Sweet. 

I'd also like to enter my Cake box in "Exploring Cricut"........Its a Box challenge. I have just found this blog, head over there and check out the really cool creations the DT have made.

Its getting late, I must go to bed...........the rest of my week is very busy. 

Tori is 16 today and my son turns 18 on Sunday.

We have family visiting.........I still need to make an 18 birthday card and I've got lots of baking to do. I'm tied just thinking about it!
