Merry Christmas

Hey Everyone,
I've been thinking about this challenge at Kraft Plus all month...I was in all directions! Then last night I decided on just a basic window on my page.

'I Can See Clearly Now'
Use something see-through on your layout.
Think vellum, plastic, glass, bubble wrap etc etc.

The hardest part of this page was finding a suitable photo!

The brick background design, window frame, flowers, and banner were all cut with my cricut. The branches and leaves were all cut using Tim Holtz dies. I also managed to add my favorite crochet doilies. 😍The Christmas lights are rubons. My clear element is sequins and recycled packaging for the window panes.

Hope you are having a great week, thanks for visiting

All Natural Beauty

Hello Crafty friends,
Kraft Plus has a wonderful challenge this month

What's the Buzz
Be inspired by Bees and/or  Amanda Hall's
BEE-RILLIANT graphic.

I loved everything about this graphic......Colour, bees and Hexagon shapes.
Sometimes what you plan in your head , just doesn't work on paper.....my first page ended up in the bin! So, this is 'Take 2'
Love this photo of my 2 daughters and their cousin taken last month, while they were visiting family in Canada. Its not often they get to see their cousins....they had an amazing time :)

The background overlay was cut out twice with Artbooking cricut cartridge. I glued the two layers together for extra dimension, then hand cut it into the shape I wanted. I embossed and inked a few of the cut out Hexagons then added them back into the design.

Art Philsophy cricut cartridge was used to cut the flowers and leaves, I've added a sprinkling of micro beads to the center. I couldn't believe I had some Bee Buttons in my stash....Perfect! I cut the back thingy off then added them to the center of the flowers....so cute!

Love these tiny doilies.....they always see, to find a place on most of my pages.

Now for my project........ An Advent calendar!

This chalk board hangs in my family room/kitchen area......It usually has an inspirational quote on it. I used Cricut Artbooking for the tag shape and Art Philosophy for the scallop circle. The wreath stamp is CTMH 'Remarkable Wreath Seasons and Nature'......I used veramark to stamp it then white embossing powder. I used a punch for the small circle with CTMH 'Magical Days Holiday' with vesamark and gold embossing powder. I really like a shabby look so I left all the threads hanging. The tags are hanging on a plaited twine....a few pegs to hold the sweets.
You know.....the hardest part of the whole project was finding sweets that had wrappers to match the colour theme...lol !
I almost forgot...can you see the tiny pom poms on the tip of the tags?

Please visit the links to the other designers, they have some fabulous projects to show you..... have fun hoping:)

A few cards !

Hey Everyone,
Its been a busy few weeks around here!
Last weekend my sister and her family flew in from interstate, to help celebrate my parents 80th Birthdays. It was kind of a family reunion too.....It had been 2 1/2 years since I'd seen my sister.  So I went nuts cleaning everything, lots of baking too! We had a great weekend.......I think its taken me all of this week to recover!

Anyway.......onto my projects.
For my first card I played along with "Paper Sweeties" October challenge.

papersweeties-inspiration#36

Live Love Grow.....is a stamp from Paper Sweeties. I cut the Maple leaf from cricut Artbooking cartridge, embossing it with cross stitched hearts. Doilies and more doilies, lace and a sprinkle of sequins.

This is the card I made for my Mum. The overlay was cut using cricut Artfully sent cartridge, the pretty papers are Kaiser.

I sure find it hard to make masculine cards.......this is what I came up with for my dad. As you can see I took inspiration from the background paper and cut a Balloon from cricut Artfully Sent cartridge. It is glitter embossed......yep, I had to add some sequins too!
Otherwise I think its pretty plain :)

Thanks for stopping by, Have a great weekend!

The heart over layout was cut using cricut 'Artbooking' cartridge. I used Gelatos to colour it.....love the softness the water colouring creates. I've added a few of my favorite bits and pieces.

I decided to go with a Butterfly.....the front of my card is very simple.

How pretty is this POP UP feature :) I used a glue pen and gold glitter to outline the edges.......love all the sparkle!
'Artfully Sent cricut cartridge was used to create the popup, scallop card base and sentiment on the front

Hello.......so nice of you to stop by today!
Such a pretty inspiration photo for the new challenge at
The Shabby Tea Room....Sweet Summer is the theme.

My Artistic Adventures is the sponsor for this challenge

I have used 'Pink Shabby Chic tags' on my card.

The Scallop card base was cut using Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

I had fun making the rosettes.....they are a nice change from flowers.  Some pretty lace, sequins....just a few of my fav things!

.............................................

The theme is Summer
These photos were taken on Holidays last year! We had so much fun at California Adventure Park......here we are on Mickeys Fun Wheel.

The sun burst overlay was cut using ArtBooking Cricut cartridge. The papers and die cuts are from an older Kaiser collection 'Fine and Sunny. My friend Anna is still crocheting me pretty doilies......so I have added them too.

2 Cards.....

Hello.......so nice of you to visit:)

Today I have two DT projects to show you.
The first one is for 'The Shabby Tea Room'
Pretty in Pink......create a card/project inspired by the photo! Love this gorgeous photo, sometimes I like to try and re-created it!

Here is what I came up with..........Love the Bokeh backgrounds you see around at the moment. I had lots of fun using water colour paper and paints to create the background. I cut myself a variety of circle stencils then stamped with white ink......I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I cut the bike out from Heritage cricut cartridge, ran it through the xyron to create a sticker then added lots of sparkle.

My daughter thought she would like this card framed.

I'd like to link up with "House of Cards" May challenge...Bokeh effect

I look forward to seeing your pretty projects in The Shabby Tea Room
.....................................................

My next card is for 'Stuck on U Sketches' Die cuts.
The challenge is 'Mothers'......I created a card for Mothers Day.
The oval frame and overlay were both cut using cricut ArtBooking cartridge. "LOVE" is a stamp from 'Paper Sweeties'

Lots of my fav things....buttons, pearls, flowers, ribbon...the scallop ribbon border is a gorgeous velvet.

I also played along with this months challenge from 'Sketchy Boards'. I chose to base my card on the colours in the gorgeous photo...Yellow and Green. I hope to find some time to do a layout with this great sketch.

Kind of a long post for me........happy Monday to you, enjoy your week!
