Stuck on U Sketches.....Die cuts

Hello.............
One thing I really enjoy doing is making my own flowers!  I was really excited to start creating this layout for the latest "Stuck on U Die cut challenge" We would like to see your Die cut flowers.......I used the cricut to create mine, but you are able to use any die cutting machine!

This is me and my Mum..........

I used Cricut Mothers Day Bouquet for the flowers and leaves,  Martha Stewart All Occasional Cake art for the banners. The scallop frame around the photos is from Elegant Edges.

The pattern paper is Kaiser Pickled Pear Collection..................love this one!

I'm entering my layout in
the latest sketch challenge at'Sketches with a Twist'..............the twist is 'Mothers Day' - create something mother related.

I have a busy weekend planned.........so much to do, so little time!
Hope you enjoy yours

BFF.................

Hey everyone,
Just a quick post to show you another layout , following a sketch from "PageMaps"

For this challenge.........we were asked to follow this sketch and add a 'DIY foam stamp image'

After a lot of thought, the only foam I could come up with was a Dish cloth! So......I die cut a Heart from  the dish cloth, stamped it around to form the flower then fussy cut it out. I'm not the best fussy cutter........lucky I like the 'Shabby look'!

Yay , another layout completed for Tori's album!
Tomorrow I have the new Stuck on U Sketches Die cut challenge to show you.............2 layouts in a week, I'm surprising myself!!

Thankyou for taking the time to visit

Happy Creating

The shabby Tea Room #166

Hi there!!
Sweet Spring Time
is the theme for this weeks challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room"
Look at this gorgeous photo Starr has chosen for inspiration!
She asks that you create a card/project using the colours Pink, Green, White and add a sewing element.

photo inspiration #166

Digital paper by Janet is our sponsor for this challenge......The digital background paper I have used is called  "Sweet Colour" paper 1. The colours are so soft and pretty.

Just realised........I went with a heart theme last week and again this week..........Can you tell I really like them!!!
For the 'Sewing' element of my card I created a button card using Paper Trey ink stamp set - Button Boutique. I wrapped it in some lace, then added pins, buttons and a doily.
Warm Hearts stamp is by Paper Sweeties.

I'm off to have a look at what the other Shabby Girls have created.

I am a real  fan of "Page Maps" sketches............. they are celebrating their 7 year anniversary all month long.
Lots of great prizes to be won just by creating a layout with one of the awesome sketches and the best thing is the contest is open to everyone, where ever you live:))

The papers I have used are from 'October Afternoon'. I cut the banner using MS All Occasional cake art.
A little paint splattering, bling, stitching, some stamping and lots of cute as, Heart buttons.

I still have quite the supply of these cute little heart buttons..........Love!

Loved the sketch..........so I stuck with it!

The Shabby Tea Room... #165

Hello.......
"Totally Textured" is the theme Rebekah has chosen for this weeks challenge in The Shabby Tea Room.
Love this  photo she has chosen .
Rebekah ask that you............Be inpired by the photo...Dry Emboss and add Stitching to create texture.

inspiration photo # 165

And.......here is my card:)

I really liked the rustic looking basket......  I used a plaid stamp to create the background, which I thought looked similar to the texture of the basket, then I added layers from there. I cut the heart with my cricut , embossing it with Roses cuttlebug folder. Lace , twine, pompoms and a cute little heart yo yo to finish off.

Paper Sweeties is sponsoring us this week.........love their sentiment stamps - "Just Because"

I am also entering my card in the sketch challenge at Paper Sweeties.

Be sure to have a look at the creations the other shabby girls have to inspire you.....

Thank for visiting.......Have a great week

Do more of what makes you HAPPY.....

Hey everyone,
Hope you are having a great week........mine has been very busy and it won't be slowing down for the weekend! Two Birthdays and a Wedding......

I thought I'd show you this super quick card I made for my daughter......she loves polka dots at the moment!  So when I saw this gift bag with pretty coloured spots I thought it would be perfect. I wanted the card to match so ..........I scanned the bag , then printed it out. "Do What Makes You Happy" is a post card I found in the same shop - I backed it with a contrasting colour card stock, some stitching a little washi tape strip at the top , crepe paper frill, a doily and buttons. There you have it........a super quick card which is kinda cute!

I'd like to thankyou so much for coming by.........I appreciate your encouraging comments:)

I'll see you Monday in The Shabby Tea Room.....I have another shape card to show you, its so cute!

Spring Bliss.....TSTR #163

Hello........Its time to show you the new challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room"
Debbie is our creative host this week......she has chosen the theme
Spring Bliss
And asks that you create a card/project using the colours Yellow, Green and White add flowers and Polka dots.

I love the gorgeous tea cups in the photo........that inspired me to make this Tea pot card along with one of my favourite flowers....the daisy.

Love the tiny resin shaped flowers too....I liked the pop of pink when I was making the card, not quite sure about it now? It kinda works I think.....anyway, this is what I've used.
The tea pot is from "Dreams come True" cricut cartridge......using my Gypsy I welded the two teapot shapes together at the top to form a card. I used "Mothers Day Bouquet" cartridge to cut the daisy's. I have to thank my friend Anna for crocheting me the pretty little doilies for the flower centre.
"Special Friend Blend" is from Paper Sweeties.......just love these sentiment stamps.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Manor House Creations......play along for your chance to win four flower packs.
I'm off to see what the other shabby girls have created:))

Under the Sea.....

"Crustaceans".........This is the new challenge at 'Stuck on U Sketches Die cuts' - Crabs , Lobster, shells, star fish etc.
I have to tell you I had no idea what I was going to create .......what a challenge! Then I thought of 'Sebastian' from the Little Mermaid.
I wish I was one of these people that had a clear picture in my head before I started......no such luck, so I just started cutting and hoped for the best!
I decided to have some fun............. So here is my "Under the Sea" layout.

Jordyn and Tori having fun with their new Under water camera.

Adding a a few little details to your cuts brings them to life........a little Bling , glitter and chalk for the cheeks.

I used cricut cartridges 'Dreams come True' and 'Life's a Beach'
A few of the cuts have been raised with foam mounting tape for dimension.........its does not show up that well in the photo.

The DT have been so creative with this challenge, stop by and have a peak!

Thankyou for coming by.....I always appreciate the lovely comments you leave me:))

By The Beach

Hello............Its time to show you what I have created for "Stuck on U Sketches" Die cut challenge.
The theme is "Sea".......anything to do with the sea - fish, boats etc.

I really like this current sketch designed by Sandi Clarkson at "Stuck on U Sketches"........I based my layout on it.

SAND..........is what I decided to go with. I cut 2 Sandcastles at different sizes from Cricut Every Day Paper Dolls, layering them one on top of the other with foam tape.

I love this photo of my two gorgeous girls!!  It was taken a few weekends ago whilst we were visiting family on the Sunshine Coast.
I usually choose paper to match my photos..........but with this layout I knew I wanted to use this background paper from Kaiser Tropicana collection. So, I messed around with the photo a little adding some different effects .......I had lots of fun doing this:))) and now it goes!!

Be sure have a look at the other SOUS girls fabulous creations.......you will get some great ideas!
Can't wait to see what you create!

I'm linking my layout up at Craftin Desert Diva's , they are having a linky Party.......add buttons to your project.

Happy Creating..........Enjoy your weekend
