is the theme for the new challenge in the

How cool is this Halloween pumpkin
Create a Card /project inspired by the photo

Here is what I did on my Halloween Tea Party card.
The background was created with a polka dot stamp, dipping the edges of the card in purple glitter. Tea Party is also a is embossed. Just pretend you didn't see the date (Good Friday) . I thought the images could pass as Halloween! A Tea pot die from Paper Sweeties was used to create the shaker element. (links below) I dyed the crinkle ribbon to match......... and one last thing....a gorgeous crochet doily.

Here is the link to the products I've used from Paper Sweeties...who are sponsoring us for this challenge.

Tea Party

The card I have to share today I made for the
Create a Coffee/tea or Coco project.
Tea would be my beverage of choice.......I thought this silhouette image from 'Suburbia' cricut cartridge would be perfect!
It was only when I finished the card I realized it needed to be a Fall theme. Then I thought.......Where I live its Sub Tropical, not a lot changes, except the temperature is a little cooler.

My card

The soft blue and cream would have to be my favorite colour combination. I wanted to create a Tea party the soft look of the Paper ruffles !  They remind me of layered table linen. Crinkle ribbon a crochet doily and some sparkly  leaves complete the scene. ' I'm having a Tea Party' is a stamp from 'Paper Sweeties' one of the sponsors for the hop.

Wow....I can't believe how many awesome entries there are linking up, I think I'm  # 610.......maybe lucky last??? Hmmm...I don't think so!

So nice of you to visit
Enjoy your weekend

Hello.......Today I was playing around with another layout for the Kaiser September challenge.
One thing I like about Kaiser it is very easy to mix paper collections.  I have used a few different Christmas papers and pocket page cards and red spatters, love crochet doilies, specially the heart shape one. Ho Ho Ho chip board lettering was joined together....I cut it apart so it would fit on the page. I stamped around the edges with a very old Kaiser stamp.....the post mark would have to be one of my favorite!

Super short post
I have to link up before I run out of time!

So nice of you to visit .....I'll be catching up with you soon

Happy creating

Kaiser Challenge

I just love a rainy weekend.......a great excuse to get a little more scrapping done!
Kaiser September mood board has me thinking about Christmas......the photos I need to scrap from other Christmas holidays before this years is upon us! ( hmmm I've got lots of catching up to do)

I was so excited to win last months Kaiser prize pack was the new Christmas collection
'Home for Christmas'
This got me motivated to scrap two layouts.
Here is the first one.
I love making Christmas pudding......Its probably the best one I've ever made! Actually I think it looked perfect...just like the picture from the Better Homes and garden magazine!

Here a close up of the pretty printed string....I've added some wooden buttons and tiny crochet doillies.

My second layout is from the same collection....'Home for Christmas'.
Love the paper wreath.......I've added chip board buttons and Holly from an old kaiser collection. A few tiny crochet doilies and pearls and a sprinkle of the extra sparkle they add.

Looks like the sun is out......time to get out in the garden.
Enjoy your weekend
Happy Creating

Hello and Welcome Back
Halloween Party Day 3
Hope you are having fun seeing everyone's creations!

I've been doing some is the before photos of an old dress form jewelry stand. I started out by changing the colour of the bodice to purple with copics. Then decided I hated it!!
So, I came up with another idea.........Washi Tape.

Ta Da.........Its now a Witch!

The bodice is covered in 'Washi Tape'. When I started I wasn't sure how it would go......but it turned out great!
The only thing I had to buy to make this was the spiders!
The spider web lace made the perfect cape!  I also managed to add a cute crochet doily to the dress and hat. The dress is made from one sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper.... cut  in triangle strips, I punched a design on the bottom edge, then hot glued it too the waist. More lace and some shaggy looking black wool was also added to create layers.

For the top section of the hat, I used 'Princess Party' cricut cartridge.....Party Hat.

Hey Everyone,
The new challenge is up at "Sketchy Boards".......I really liked this months Sketch and Inspiration photo! I had the perfect picture of my daughter and her partner in Paris.

The Eiffel Tower was cut using Summer in Paris cricut cartridge. It is embossed with Antiquities weathered white.....the rough texture does not show up that well in the photo, it has added  more dimension and interest to the paper cut. I found the wooden letters for the title at 'Typo'.....they were covered in pretty papers.......just perfect for my page!

Here is my inspiration......
Great Sketch and Photo

Come join in the challenge!

Not a lot of paper craft happening here at the moment.....I'm busy painting furniture again, Shabby-ing things up!  Here's a peek at one thing I finished yesterday.

I should have taken a before photo..........the wood was close to black and the metal was rusty!  At the start I was not sure whether to leave the metal and just paint the top........but after spending sometime on pinterest I knew it had to be all white!
Love my cute little Aqua colour knome sitting next to the planter of herbs. Its a bit different but it all seems to work :) I need to put a photo in the frame.

Late last night  I was picking up my son from work, as we were driving under a bridge there was a loud bang.........someone threw a rock at the car.The wind shield and the bonnet  are damaged!  It was a huge rock.....slighty smaller than a brick. So lucky we did not get hurt!
I'm off to phone the insurance company.

Its the second day of the warmer weather!
Hope your week is going well

I really liked the August sketch at The Scrapbook store
I think the colours used to created the sketch influenced me into choosing vintage style papers.

Here we are enjoying morning tea at Lola's house for Melbourne cup day.....notice we are all wearing hats :)

Here is a close up of fussy cut flowers and some that I made using  Mothers Day Bouquet cricut cartridge. I always try to add a pretty crochet flower the moment sequins seem to go on everything too. Don't you just love the extra sparkle they add!

Hope you are enjoying a great week

Happy Crafting

My favorite Place

Hey Everyone,
I took time out from trying to work out Windows 10, to create this layout for Kaiser's August challenge....which is a sketch.
One of my favorite places we visited on our trip last year was 'Yosemite National Park'
This photo was  taken at Tunnel View
{Just realized the spelling for Yosemite is wrong on my layout}

A few papers from a new collection, combined with lots of older papers which I have used to make the flowers and leaves.......pocket cards too.
'Mothers day Bouquet' cricut cartridge was used to cut the flowers and leaves.
Here is the sketch.......I turned it once clockwise

Back to my computer issues.........I have been told if you are using windows 8, the transition to 10 is easy. I was using 7.
So for everyone who is thinking of up grading to windows can try it out like me......I really did not have the time patience to try to figure it out. Sooooooo, I asked Google... can I can back to 7?To my surprise you can!
So, I followed the instuctions...I'm now back on 7.
Just want the basics, for now I'm Happy, I had no problem finding the photos for this post! LOL

Happy Creating ....Enjoy the weekend

Make today Beautiful

Hey Everyone......happy Monday to you!
I've been busy over the past few weeks ......I decided to have a clean out of clutter, hmmm took me longer than I thought! Do you ever get tired of the way your home looks? Well, I've been re-arranging furniture too.....after a few trip to the OP shop, things are looking so much better!
Time to show you the new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #258
Create a card/project inspired by the theme

Loved the sun flowers :) I used 'Walk in My Garden' cricut cartridge to cut them.....with lots of black sequins in the center. The paper is a gorgeous Metalic. It has a real shimmer, which does not show up very well in the photo. The black, white and metalic Amber papers are from  Paper Temptress....who is the sponsor for this challenge.

A gift tag too

I stitched vellum to the tag to create a pocket for gold sequins.

Be sure to have a peek at the beautiful projects the other Shabby girls have created.

On the weekend I up graded my Pc to windows would not believe how long it has taken me to find the photos for this post!! Feeling Frustrated :( Well as you can see I found them, by doing a search, but where they are in my pictures folder....who knows? Guess what I'm off to do.
Thank you for visiting......Enjoy your week
