Kaisercraft Monthly challenge

Hey Everyone,
I was so Happy to see that Kaisercraft is posting monthly challenges again!
I'm not buying anymore papers until I  use up some in my stash!
Here is my layout with an old collection........Lilac Avenue
A few things in the Mood board inspired me........The pretty colors, the dandelion and the tall trees. This photo was taken last year in "Yosemite National Park" Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. You can  just see the trunk of one of the trees behind us. This page will sit along side a pocket style page in my album......Thats where I am journalling more details about our trip .

The only items not Kaiser are.... purple crochet doilies, sequins and heart paper clip. I've use cricut cartridge Mothers day bouquet to cut the flowers, then layered them with a pretty doily and kaiser brad.
Thanks for a fun challenge

Happy Creating

Hello.......so nice of you to stop by today!
Such a pretty inspiration photo for the new challenge at
The Shabby Tea Room....Sweet Summer is the theme.

My Artistic Adventures is the sponsor for this challenge

I have used 'Pink Shabby Chic tags' on my card.

The Scallop card base was cut using Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

I had fun making the rosettes.....they are a nice change from flowers.  Some pretty lace, sequins....just a few of my fav things!

.............................................

The theme is Summer
These photos were taken on Holidays last year! We had so much fun at California Adventure Park......here we are on Mickeys Fun Wheel.

The sun burst overlay was cut using ArtBooking Cricut cartridge. The papers and die cuts are from an older Kaiser collection 'Fine and Sunny. My friend Anna is still crocheting me pretty doilies......so I have added them too.

Another layout completed for my trip album

A card and layout.

Hey Everyone,
I can't believe its been two weeks since I posted last! I have spent a lot of my time working on my holiday photos from our trip to Canada and America last year. You could say I'm kinda on holidays again........two of my children and my husband are in Canada at the moment visiting family. Hardly any house stuff to do!!

Today I have two DT projects to show you.....
Look at this fun inspiration photo for 'The Shabby Tea Room'
Fun Blooms

The design team were given cut files to use from
The Cutting Cafe  .....sponsor for this challenge.
I chose this cute fish bowl......I had fun shabbying it up with lots of glitter, sequins,  some flowers and leaves that I made using 'Flower Shoppe' Cricut cartridge.

........................................................................................

My Second project is for 'Stuck on U Sketches' Die cuts
Home Sweet Home is the challenge
One thing that I really enjoy is spending time in the garden. Its Autumn in Australia now ........these photos were taken last week just after it rained. My camellia's and gerbera are in full bloom, they look so pretty.

I made the butterflies from paper clay . Can you see  the embossed background.....it an embossing folder from Maggie Holmes. Love how it turned out!

Die cuts.... Simple Pleasures - Cricut - Country Life, the chicken wire and feather.
This is the fun sketch I followed from 'Stuck'

Oh my gosh......what a long post, I hope you made it to the bottom.

How adorable is this photo of my niece's new  baby girl.....Eliza Jade.

The word art 'Welcome Baby' is part of the scallop background paper cut all in one piece using 'Life's a Party' cricut cartridge. I then  cut the letters from a white glitter card stock, the dots are liquid pearls. The butterflies were cut using 'Art Philosophy' cartridge. The pretty papers are Kaiser Lullaby collection.

Umbrella

Hello.........Its time to show you the new Die cut challenge at "Stuck on U Sketches"

We would like to see your Die cut " Umbrella"
I bought myself a new umbrella for Christmas....(its a little hard to see in the photo's )
I loved the colour and pattern so I tried to duplicate it on my layout.

Yes.......the perfect day, relaxing at the beach .

I have used "Life's a Beach" cartridge to  cut the umbrella.....drawing some spots on with a gel pen to match mine.

This past week I have not been really well at all, some kind of stomach flu......Yesterday I spent the day in bed. Today I'm sitting at the computer writing this post...thats a good sign, I'm getting better! Looking on the positive side ....I've lost a few kilo's :)

Anyway....I hope to catch up with visiting you all soon
Have a great week
Thanks for stopping by

Breath .....Fresh Air

Happy Monday to you ......so nice of you to stop by :)

Here is a  layout I've created using a fun sketch from Page Maps.
The papers and die cuts are from "Wild Flowers" Carta Bella collection.

This is one of those layouts that after I'd finished sewing and sticking I decided I hated the paper border either side of the stripe.......So , I unpicked the stitching just enough so I could pull one piece of paper out and add another. I liked the shabby unpicked look of the stitching  so I left it.

Here's the Sketch

The last few days have been so so Hot.......its time to jump in the pool and cool off :)
Happy Scrapping

Living the Dream....

Hey everyone,
So nice of you to stop by!
I have so much Kaiser paper that I need to use up.........perfect excuse to take part in the Saturday Sketch challenge again !

My daughter and her partner have recently returned from a European Holiday.......they had the most amazing time! I copied this photo from her face book.....it was taken in Spain.
'Living the Dream' was the perfect title.......this is something she has always wanted to do.

I have not written on the journal card, I'm leaving it free for my daughter to fill in.

Love....Cherish.....Forever

Hey there everyone,
I'm really hoping that now the kids are back at school I can get back into some kind of a routine .......and get into my craft room more often.
Its only this morning I realized that Kaiser Saturday Sketch has started again for 2014.......I needed to get my project linked by midnight , so in record time I created this layout using Kaiser 'Needle and Thread' collection.
Just simple and a little shabby :)

This is a photo of my Parents ......I thought it matched the vintage feel of these papers perfectly!
and
Here's the sketch

Stuck on U Sketches....Die cuts

Hey Everyone,
There is a new Die cut challenge at Stuck on U Sketches
"Something to Wear"
If you live in the Northern Hemisphere and are experiencing Freezing temperatures right now
Think.....snow clothes, mitten, scarves, hats, boots...sweaters, shoes, ice skates,
or
If you are melting in Heat wave temperatures........like I am ,
Think........thongs, swimsuits, dresses,

You could even get creative and use die cuts to create hair accessories!!!!!!

This is what I came up with..........a fun layout with my adult kids and their  Floaties!
They  looked so cute floating down the river.

I used 'H2o' cricut cartridge to cut the swim float. The sun and Coolin off, were cut with Art Booking cartridge.

I hope you can join us for this fun challenge....be sure to pop over to SOUS and have a look at all the Design Teams fabulous creations.

Fun with Tags

Hey Everyone,
I had a little  spare time today so I decided to have a play with some tags from the Dear Lizzy 'Polka Dot Party' collection.

I add a few bits and pieces.......buttons, lace, twine , flowers etc.

I'm writing this post from my iPad, it looks like my computer cannot be fixed and I need to buy a new one......ahhh!
The sun is shining it's a beautiful day, perfect weather for painting more furniture.
Here's some photos of what I've been doing. All the furniture was plain wood before I started.

This was a huge job!

Originally The little white cabinet had hens in the panels , I replaced it with pretty patterned paper. I plan on putting inspirational quotes on the Black board. I painted the stool yesterday..... And my favourite thing of all is the milk cans. I have two of them, they were all rusty , out the back in the shed. Don't they look great Powder coated a pearl white!

Love this little stool below.

Mmmmm.... What will I paint today?
So, as you can see...not a lot of time to scrap!

Happy Monday to you all and Thankyou for stopping by.

Angel.......

Hello,
I'm so surprised with how much free time I have.......so, I'd like to show you a layout I created yesterday.

This is a photo of a friends grand daughter.....I made this layout for her!
I 'd like to share a short (I hope I can make it short) story  about it....below the photos.

Recently my friends mother in law died.....she requested to have her ashes sprinkled on her favourite beach, to be with her husband who had died a few years earlier. Kara was very close to her great grand mother and requested she be a part of the day. She chose this pretty white dress, tiara and requested 'Angel wings'.
In Kara's mind she thought if she was an angel the two grandparents would meet up quicker.
So with a hand full of glitter (which she insisted on), mixed with the ashes she proceeded to sprinkle it over the water.

I found a little Angel in my stash , along with the sentiment....which I thought was  perfect for the day! All the sequins represent the glitter.

A Big thank you  for stopping by

Merry Christmas

Tracey
