Hello......I'm back today to share a layout I created using a few products for "Auzz Trinklets N Craft"

 February is the month of Romance 💕

The inspiration for my page came from an image in a book I was reading, with this quote . I decided to re-create it and add a photo. Super simple page but I love how it turned out😊

For the title I first tried stamping it, but it was not bold enough ( I managed to rub it out...you can probably see it a bit...(its now called a shadow) I then decided to die cut it, which I like a lot better. I used my cricut and Base Camp cartridge. 

 The Boat is also Die cut from Lifes a Beach.

I stamped the white background with 'Rubbernecker' Daisy Duo.

I embossed hearts on the sails of the boat, then embellished it with lot of bits and pieces from my stash. A favorite being the tiny heart buttons. XOX was also stamped.

I have a few scheduled posts this month...I will not be able to visit you! When you read this I will be in Canada freezing my bum off😎So excited to be surprising my father in law for his 90th Birthday.

Happy 2017

Hello, Happy 2017!

After Christmas its taken me a little time to get back into the swing of creating.....I've actually been enjoying doing not much! The weather has been really warm, so the pool is the best place to be!

OK.....my New Years resolution is to get my many photos scrapped, so that means more photos on a page! Its been a long time since I created a double page layout....I had fun with it!

This page is for "Auzz Trinklets N Kraft"

The theme for January is 'Make it Girly'. The first think I thought of was flowers and Pink.

All the embellishment are die cut using 'Lifes a Beach' cricut cartridge.

I covered the title in micro beads...they reminded me of the neon lights. Time to use up old supplies in my stash...beads for Las Vegas.

The design on the large circle is rubons coloured in with water colour pencils.

The tail feathers were die cut with a spell binders die....perfect place for a sprinkle of sequins.....I had to fit them on this page somewhere!

Umbrella

Hello.........Its time to show you the new Die cut challenge at "Stuck on U Sketches"

We would like to see your Die cut " Umbrella"

I bought myself a new umbrella for Christmas....(its a little hard to see in the photo's )

I loved the colour and pattern so I tried to duplicate it on my layout.

Yes.......the perfect day, relaxing at the beach .

I have used "Life's a Beach" cartridge to  cut the umbrella.....drawing some spots on with a gel pen to match mine.

This past week I have not been really well at all, some kind of stomach flu......Yesterday I spent the day in bed. Today I'm sitting at the computer writing this post...thats a good sign, I'm getting better! Looking on the positive side ....I've lost a few kilo's :)

Anyway....I hope to catch up with visiting you all soon

Under the Sea.....

"Crustaceans".........This is the new challenge at 'Stuck on U Sketches Die cuts' - Crabs , Lobster, shells, star fish etc.

I have to tell you I had no idea what I was going to create .......what a challenge! Then I thought of 'Sebastian' from the Little Mermaid.

 I wish I was one of these people that had a clear picture in my head before I started......no such luck, so I just started cutting and hoped for the best!

I decided to have some fun............. So here is my "Under the Sea" layout.

Jordyn and Tori having fun with their new Under water camera.

Adding a a few little details to your cuts brings them to life........a little Bling , glitter and chalk for the cheeks.

I used cricut cartridges 'Dreams come True' and 'Life's a Beach'

A few of the cuts have been raised with foam mounting tape for dimension.........its does not show up that well in the photo.

 The DT have been so creative with this challenge, stop by and have a peak!

Hi crafty friends!

We are so excited to be announcing some new spots

opening up here at Stuck on U Sketches!

We are looking to grow our team which means even more

inspiration when you come by and visit!

Some of those changes mean missing some incredible designers

that will be leaving us. However we are excited for some

new talent to join us!

Will that be you?

We have a small opening with our Layout Sketch Team

and are looking for 2 new Design Teammembers.

You'll be creating with our original sketches every other Friday.

And with our Die Cut Team we are looking for 4 new 

Design Team members!

Again, you'll be creating every other Friday with a chosen

Die Cut Challenge. The great part about this is that you may

use ANY die cutting machine. Electronic, metal dies, etc.

You can take a peek around the site to get a better idea

on the challenges we do and if you have enough imagery

to join our challenges!

We are also looking for someone who would be interested

in being a Sponsor Coordinator.

Design Team Call will be open until May 3

and new teams will start in June!

Any questions? Please let us know!

We are asking for 6 month commitments to the teams.

You must be able to comment on all entires for your challenge.

We are very excited to also share a little tease and let you know

that we are planning some other changes for our site!

Hello..............

Today is the first day of Winter here in Australia.

On the other side of the world it is Summer!

I know..........another Banner:) This one is made in the 'Surf Life Saving' colours. 

The flowers, sandals, pelican and seagulls are from 'Life's a Beach' cartridge. The font is from 'Art Philosophy', the scallop frame is from 'Elegant Edges'. My go to Banner cartridge is Martha Stewart 'All Occasions cake art'. The paper is Kaiser.

Surfing Santa.........

Here's a layout I did for Mandy at "Scappy-Go-Lucky"


Christmas in Australia is HOT............. I decided to do a layout showing how we spend Christmas , most of the time just trying to keep cool!" So...........Here's my Surfing Santa"
The photo of Jordyn and Tori was taken Christmas 2008.

 The lights and tree are from "Create a Critter"

With my Gypsy I welded a circle to the paper doll to give him a fat stomach.



I know my Santa is dressed a little different, but I think he is kinda cute!

Its "Challenge me Monday"at Fantabulous Cricut..........The theme is "HOT" Create a card or project using a tropical theme… hibiscus, rain forest, exotic style etc...
As I am slowly trying to scrap through a huge amount of photos, this is what I came up with........ Pics of Tori enjoying the surf .
I've used the cartridges Lifes a Beach and Storybook for the flourishs. The paper is  Kaiser...Pina
Colada collection.

Here's a sneak peak of a Halloween page I designed for  Scrappy-Go-Lucky .............I have used lots of images from the October 31st cartridge, head over there to have a look!!

"Around the World Blog Hop"

Welcome to day 4 of the Scrappy-Go-Lucky Blog Hop.

My challenge was to come up with something to do with my part of the world, or a part of the word that is important to me.

I live in Brisbane which is situated between two beautiful Coast lines..... The "Gold Coast" to the south and the Sunshine Coast to the North........so I decided to do them both.

One thing I needed to feature on both pages was the Cri-Kit Gel pens. Design Studio helped with the alignment of the pens to border the scallop mat, which was cut from "Story Book".

This page is from the "Gold Coast". The paper I used is Kaiser "Distracted". The flowers are from "Life's a Beach" plumeria, and were cut at 3in, 2.5in, and 2in. I cut the leaves from "Walk in my Garden".....1in, .09in, .07in.

On the photo below the white gel pen was used, it turned out exactly how I wanted ........Sign Writing in the Sky! That was done with "Lyrical Letters".

The heading "Surf's Up" is from the "Life's a Beach" cartridge. The words and surf board are one cut. I then did a second cut with just the board as I wanted the surf board a different color to the font. The Cri-Kits glitter pink gel pen was used to draw the plumeria's across the board, and they were then colored with water color pencils. The pink pen also borders "surf's up" with lots of white glitter added.

I think of the Cri-Kit pens just like a stamp, draw your image and color it in !

My inspiration for this second page was the phrase Queensland Tourism uses to describe the state.......

"Queensland , Beautiful one day, Perfect the next"

So this is what a came up with........ the photos were taken at Rainbow Beach.

Using "Base Camp" With Design Studio and the Cri-Kits, I bordered the font with Cri-Kits blue glitter gel pen and wrote inside the B with black. Crystal Effects was used to give the letters more dimension. "Perfect" was done the same way. The paper is a favourite of mine, its Kaiser "Esperance".

The kite is from the "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge, and the font is from "Lyrical Letters" drawn with the black Cri-Kits gel pen.

The Star fish is from "Life's a Beach" outlined with gold Cri-Kits. And Bling  of course!

It was a last minute decision to make this card ........I found the Maple Leaf image on "A Child's Year", this represents Canada and that's where my Husband is from. We have family there who we hope to visit sometime soon.

As another example of using the Cri-Kits as a stamp effect, the leaf was drawn onto water color paper at 4in with the black Cri-Kits gel pens. My heat gun was used to set the ink which stopped the bleeding when water-colouring. Stampin Up earth element crayons were used to color with an aqua brush.

The leaf just looks like a stamped image I think! A very simple and quick card to make.
