Flowers and more

Hello, Its hard to believe we are half way through the year already.
This is what I've been creating lately - I'm really enjoying making paper flowers! Practice makes perfect...well that is what I'm hoping! I used Pink printing paper to make these...I'm really happy with how they turned out. The petals are very easy to mold and the paper is cheap.

We have a great Sketch inspiration at "Sketchy boards" this month.

For my page I used a photo taken the day before Mothers day..the girls surprised me with a high tea and Flower arrangement class. It was so much fun! I did not follow the colour inspiration but I added a clock flair in my flower cluster, some machine stitching, a little stamping in the background...its pale pink so its a little hard to see in the photo. I made the flower from Foamiran.

More flowers.....still practicing!

A few things

Hey there... welcome to my monthly blog post! I hoped to get here sooner but April is a busy month for Birthdays, also my parent celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
I've had fun decorating gifts with paper flowers....in the photo below, I tried to copy the flower on the pretty gift wrap.

My daughter has often asked for some flowers for her bed side table....I surprised her with these for her birthday, they look so pretty.

"Sketch Boards" has a great sketch and recipe for the May Challenge

The background paper is from a 12 x 12 paper pad....I used the left over strips at the top of the pad for the strips behind the photo adding texture with stitching.
The stars are brads, stamping, die cuts, and stickers for the journalling.

Well, that is it for now...Happy Crafting
