Birthday Sundaes #20.........Come Blog Hopping

Hello, I'm happy you have come to visit...........Today at Birthday Sundaes we are having our first Blog Hop. We are saying farwell to some of the existing Design Team and Welcoming our new members, and what better way to do that but with CAKES. The challenge is to put a "cake on your card" with a birthday sentiment. I hope you can join us on the Hop and be inspired by all the fabulous Design Teams creations.
I'm the last stop........ so if you would like to join the Hop and start at the begining please visit Kristie.
Here is my CAKE...........

I thought the paper to decorate the cake was perfect with all its swirls.........it was already covered in glitter too! Here is the back of the card.

I used Cricut 'Sweet Hearts' cartridge to make my cake..........with my Gypsy I welded two cake shapes together to make the card. It is 8 1/2 in. tall, so I needed to use the 24 in mat.

I hope you have had fun Blog Hopping. I have some Blog Candy to give away......Kaiser 'Christmas carnival collection'..........  just leave a comment and random.org will  pick the winner Sunday the 7th of August.
The blog hop ends next Saturday at 11.59 pm.........to be in the running for the Blog Candy that Kristie is offering make sure you visit all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment. The winner will be anounced Wednesday the 10th of August.
Here is the line up just in case you get lost..........

Have a great week

There is never enough hours in the day

to fit in everything  that I'd like to do. Today was cut really short after I had  to make a few extra trips to school. So in the short time that I had, I put this layout together  for Kaiser weekly sketch challenge July # 4. I really love this new collection "Blae and Ivy". I inked a lot of the paper with a soft pink and white.

Lots of pretty flowers, some lace and a little glitter. To the left of the word 'Together' is a tiny Cupid , which I stamped and embossed. Thought I'd better tell you because you can't make it out in the photo.
I took another photo......Here's the tiny cupid.
Thankyou so much for stopping by and taking peek at what I've been doing,
See You Soon

Birthday Sundaes #19

Hi everyone.........its another Birthday Sundaes challenge!
This week is a "Inspiration Challenge" - Use the photo be inspired by the theme or the colors for your Birthday card!
Well, my favorite colour is BLUE .......and I love the swirly icing. So this is what I came up with.
How do you like my fabric rose? A little more recycling this week..........I didn't like a draw string on a denim skirt of mine, so I cut it off..........I think it looks much prettier as a rose! I sprayed it with heaps of glimmer mist, to give it a sparkle, it doesn't show up in the photo.
The frame is from Lacy Labels and the paper is Kaiser.

Next week on Birthday Sundaes we are having our first Blog Hop....... We are saying Good bye to some of the current Design Team and Welcoming our new members. Along the way some of us will be offering Blog Candy so I hope you can join us.

Have a fabulous week
Bye 4 now

Hi everyone.........

Lately I've  really enjoyed following sketches for my layouts. This Sketch is by "Sassy Lil Sketches" June 28th reveal.
A few weeks ago I showed you a layout with Jordyn as a bridesmaid..........this is another one I completed.
And yes I've another gorgeous 'Cheery Lynn' doily........this one is "English Tea party".

My title is cut using a cricut cartridge........Sorry, I don't remember which one. Mothers day bouquet was used to cut the flower and the pretty lace flower on top is from a hair clip. You can pick up some really pretty things for your layouts in accessories shops......like Diva and Equip. And often they have specials............I buy necklaces and earings for the little charms to add to my layouts. They are so much cheaper than a scrapbook store.

See You again soon
Have a great week

I just love.......

the soft colours in the new Kaiser collection - Blae & Ivy.

The flowers on my card are cut using Mothers day Bouquet cartridge. I used a Martha Stewart punch to cut the window. Inside the card, I stamped a pretty vine and added more flowers.  You can kind of see them through the window.

I'd like to enter this card in these challenges -
I did it creations - Floral
   Scrappy Frogs challenge - Flowers
So thats my very short post for today............At the moment I'm busy working on a Christmas in July layout for Scrappy-Go-Lucky, so keep an eye out for that next week some time.

Thanks so much for visiting

see you soon

Hello

Today I'm back to show you some photo's of the canvas I through together very quickly.......record time for me!
Late Saturday afternoon Derek arrived with this huge box of photo's, wondering if I had a spare "HOUR"! He wanted me to do something with them as a display for his wife's surprise birthday party the next day, which we were going to as well.
Look at all these photo's...........different sizes and so many different colours! Notice the bottle of wine......that's to bribe me!
Here are some photo's before editing.
I raced to the shops and bought a canvas. I changed all the photos to black and white and adjusted the size as well, which made it a lot easier to line up. I left a white border around the photo's then mat them with black.

And here is my completed canvas a few hours later.  This photo was taken at night, I found it really hard to get a good picture with out shadows. I used Kaiser Fifth Avenue paper to decorate, I kept it all very simple, there was not time to  do anything else.

The photo below is a close up of stamping I did on the canvas. I used a clear stamp without the acrylic block and wrapped it around the edges of the canvas. It really softened the look of the bright white canvas.

I wasn't sure if I could throw something together in such a short amount of time..............Looks like I can work under pressure.......... I've already got an order for another one, but that's not until September.

Thank you for stopping by , have a great week everyone!
Be back Soon

Birthday Sundaes #17

Hey everyone........I'm back with a "Birthday Sundaes" Colour challenge.
Orange - Green - White..........I really found this  colour combo a challenge! Orange is not a colour I use that often, but after a little playing around, this is what I came up with... ......my card still looks soft and pretty and that's what I like.

I made the flower using - Mothers Day Bouquet cartridge, gorgeous vintage seam binding and a pretty doily, which I cut myself using a Cheery Lyn die.......this one is French pastry.

Head over to Birthday Sundaes and check out all the other Design Team members fabulous creations.
Hope to see You there.........
Enjoy your weekend

Just a sneak peak..........

Hi everyone, I'm just here  to show you a sneak peak of a layout I have over at Scrappy-Go-Lucky today. Its just a simple layout to show you some more pretty flowers I've cut using the cricut. If you get the chance head over to have a peak!
Do you ever have a day planned in your head, and as soon as you get out of bed it all changes? Well that's what has happened today! Starting with a friend wanting a color on her hair, then another
friend of mine has just called me and asked if I would help him put something together with photo's for his wife's surprise birthday party tomorrow, which we are invited to as well.........I'm not sure if I work well under pressure, to have something completed in such a short amount time........But I'm about to give it a go................keep your fingers crossed:)

Have a great weekend

Vintage swimmers

Hey everyone,
Here is a layout  that I put together over the weekend.
Jordyn is modelling my mums "Cole of California"swimsuit, that she wore when she was 15. After talking to my mother and telling her about the layout ,she said she had a photo of her self in it. How lucky was I to be able to add that to the page too!
I hate my hand writting, but this page really needed some more details about the photo's, I tried to make it blend so it looked part of the background. It kinda works I think?
The paper is a new Kaiser collection - Blae and Ivy........I love the soft tones. I cut the branch and flowers from Serenade cartridge and the tags from Sweet Treats. The title is from Wall Decor and More.

Enjoy your week

Birthday Sundaes # 16

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.......can you believe its July already?

This week at "Birthday Sundaes" Anything goes........we are sponsored by "Glitter babe digi's".

I had lots of fun with this weeks card.......The image I coloured is called COFFEE and DONUTS.
How true is that sentiment......Ha ha ha!
I used glossy accents to create a glazed icing effect on the donuts, the sprinkles are small beads. I cut Make a Wish with Sweet Treats cartridge,
"Glitter Babe's"  have some really great digi's , they are so easy and fun to colour....head over there and have a look!
Hope to see you at Birthday Sundaes

I really appreciate you stopping by
See you soon
