Sweet Treats........

Hi Everyone,
Today I’d like to show you a few things I made for my daughter, she  celebrated her birthday recently .
The cake stand is one of her gifts……it came with a gorgeous glass dome lid.  I thought “Why not make some cakes that she can display , when there are no baked cakes on it .

If you would like more detail on the cricut cuts I've used or sizes  for these cakes.....please stop by "Scrappy-go-Lucky"
This is such a short post..........my weeks are getting so  busy! Today I was at the school canteen again.........Had a fun day giving the Ladies in the office a lesson on how to make a Christmas tree out of coat hangers.
I'll be back tomorrow to show you my new project for Stuck on U Sketches die cut challenge......see you then!

"Just Neutrals"............ TSTR # 142

Hi everyone,
Can You believe Christmas is just around the corner? Time to start creating some Christmas themed cards!!
This week in "The Shabby Tea Room" the theme is 'Just Neutrals'.

Starr has chosen this gorgeous photo for inspiration......she asked that you add Ribbon and a sentiment.

Don't you just love those Gold pumpkins! That is  the colour that inspired me! The adorable vintage image I have used is from Pion designs. The angel's are reading the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" . All the papers that I've layered have a touch of gold on them.  The edge of the card is also inked in gold, but that's not showing up in the photo!

The little Heart tag and sentiment is from Paper Sweeties - Little Wishes.
I cut the Christmas lights from the cricut cartridge 'Create a Critter'.....covered them in gold glitter then glossy accents for added dimension.

The other Design Team member would love it you stopped by to see their gorgeous  shabby creations.

Enjoy Your week...........Happy Creating!

 tic tac toe board

For my project I have a cute little Christmas gift box to show you. Some time ago I bought tape for my ATG gun...it arrived in this cardboard box. I covered it in Papermania 'Home for Christmas' Collection. On the lid I used Tim Holtz crackle paint ( my favourite thing at the moment)!

I made a cute heart shape yo yo, a gorgeous crochet doily and some felt leaves which I stitched around.
Paper Sweeties and Bugaboo digi stamps are our sponsors for this weeks challenge.......Just Because and XO are from Paper Sweeties, the For You tag is from Bugaboo.

Don't you just love those crossed stitched looking hearts on the paper.

From the tic tac toe chart I used Buttons, Sentiment and Glitter.

Pink Ribbon........

I'm back to show you this pretty Pink Ribbon Box that I made last week . The kids school canteen is having a rafflle to raise money for Breast cancer. I added this box to a huge hamper of donated products . I fill it with lots of Pink wrapped caramels.

I have to tell you.......I was really pushed for time creating this project, I was rushing .........everything that could go wrong did! So all the decorating came about to cover up mistakes that I had made!
A few of the mistakes were.......I embossed the bottom of the box and had planned on doing around the edges of the lid.......to late it was stuck together. So that's how the pretty crepe paper frill came about! Next mistake.....I turned the lid over to press the decorative paper down, omg.... right on top of some hot pink ink. Out came a Big flower to cover that mess up ..... that's where my flower spray started. There was a couple more things too. Funny thing is sometimes I think these mistakes are meant to be.........I love how it turned out - a little different from what I originally imagined, better I think!!!
Has that ever happened to you?

You can purchase the template for this box at  "My Time Made Easy"

Its my husbands Birthday tomorrow..........I must get his card made! I don't think he would be too expressed if I purchased one, since I have so much paper hanging around!

Stuck on U Sketches....Die cut Owls

Hello...........Its Friday already! My weeks have been so busy lately, I seem to be playing catch up constantly......finding the time to craft has been difficult. But, I'm back to show you the layout I created for the 'Stuck on U Die cut challenge.  We would love to see your projects with a die cut "OWL"

Here are some fun layouts with some very cute Owls!

This photo is of my two youngest children. This pink layout is for Tori's album.

and this Blue one is for Matt's album

It was easier doing them both together........I'm on a mission to use up some older papers , so I have mixed a few collections. I used "Hoot n Holler" cartridge for the owls and hearts. The kite was cut from "Create a Critter"

Come join us for this fun challenge, we would love to see projects.

Happy Crafting.........Have a fabulous weekend

Guest Designer

Hey everyone........I'm back today to show you a card I have made following the new sketch at
I am so excited to be  their guest designer .......... thank you so much for having me:-)

Here's the sketch

Not knowing what to do initially!   I started out by making flowers........using Flower Shoppe cartridge and cutting them from water colour paper, then colouring them with stampin up water colour crayons. I really love the soft effect this created. I used Art Philosophy for the frame, painting it white with Tim Holtz crackle paint.
The card started to come together .........so, here it is!
I also cut two small butterflies from water colour paper.

I have a friend who's favourite colour is purple...........I hope she likes this card!
Please stop by the "Die Cuttin Diva's"......the Design Team have some great projects to show you!

Thankyou so much for visiting.........happy crafting
