How Sweet is the little Girl sitting on top......Funny thing - my husband wondered what was the purpose of the girl - how did it relate to my sister? I said " Does it have to have a purpose......Can't it just look pretty!

Shabby Patterns.........

Hello everyone,
What a busy week I've had........No time to craft!
So today was perfect, I just played around with all kinds of things in my craft space.

I made a card for The Shabby Tea Room.
The challenge this week is "Shabby Patterns" - be inspired by the colours in the photo, add flowers and damask.

This is what I came up with.........

I was inspired by the Shabby looking chairs.........I cut my chair using 'Summer in Paris" cartridge, then I had fun with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint. The glass centre of the flower represents the vases, the  lime green twine is for the fruit and can you see the tiny tea pot......I thought this would look cute sitting on the table!

Enjoy your weekend............Thank you so much for visiting and leaving such kind comments.

Be back soon I hope

"Hot August Nights.... Vehicles"

Don't you think he is so so cute!

And..........the perfect addition to this layout with the "Hippies" (Me as a Blonde & my husband with hair)
I've added glossy accents to the lights - its a bit hard to see in the photo!

I wonder.................

Hello...............I'd like to show you the card I made this week for The Shabby Tea Room .

The challenge is "For the Love of Books"
Just Another Gorgeous photo to be inspired by!

Use Cream, Aqua, Pink and Newsprint

Here's my card:)

The newsprint came from a very old book that my mother gave me........it was hers when she was a child. Its full of old rhymes and verse. I photo copied the page below , reducing the size of the picture so it would fit in a frame.

The frame was cut from a cereal box using 'Elegant Edges' cartridge. I painted and embossed it!

Thank you sooooooooo much for stopping by

Handmade.......card

I made this card a few weeks ago for my dear friend Lola.........Just to let her know I was thinking of her.
I used pretty lemon and aqua colours.......to brighten her day!

See the pretty daisy.............It was one of those cheap looking flowers with the plastic centre -  what a difference a huge sprinkling of glitter makes!

Loving the Button Boutique stamp from PTI :) The pattern papers are Kaiser.

So Happy its the weekend tomorrow

Enjoy

School is Cool.........

"School is Cool"
I decided to use a photo of my son, taken at his Grade 12 Formal.

In this photo he thought he looked very COOL........and look how pretty Kate's dress is!  As you can see I took inspiration from all the colours in her dress for my layout.

Art Philosophy cartridge was used to cut the doilies, flourish, leaves, ribbons and dark pink roses. I used Flower Shoppe for the rest of the flowers. 'Moments' was cut using Wall Decor and More.

The design team have some very COOL creations to show you....hop over to SOUS and have a peak!

Happy Scrapping

Imagine

Hi Everyone,

Happy August:)
Its the first Wednesday of the month, so its time to show you the card I created for
"Stuck on U Sketches" card challenge!

I have used one of the new  Bingo cards from Kaiser.  I was flicking through the cards deciding on what word would suit.....
. "Imagine"
I thought was the perfect word for my friend Julie's Birthday. ( She thought it was perfect too:).

Following the sketch I decided to bundle the layered pattern paper and Bingo card together in the centre of the card , tying it  with Crinkle ribbon, which I dyed to match the Paper.

I covered the Bingo card with Ranger Crackle Accents.

I can't wait to show you the Shoe Shape Treat box!
I lined the shoe with tissue paper, then filled it with chocolates.
And
I have to confess..........I did buy this cart just for the shoe:) But, how cool does it look!
Its from Princess Party.

Please head over to SOUS............the Design Team have created some Beautiful cards to inspire You.
Come join us for a fun challenge.
