Hey Pumpkin.......TSTR #138

Hello,
Its a brand new week at  The Shabby Tea Room:)
Look at this adorable photo  Rebecca has chosen to inspire you!

" Hey Pumpkin " is the theme. Oh, so cute!

Rebecca asks that you create a card or project inspired by the colours and include a Flower:)

I took my inspiration from the pretty colours and the gorgeous sun flower.
I used Walk in my Garden cricut cartridge to cut the bottom layers of the flower then added some layers of tule that I coloured with some spray ink, a pretty doily and a vintage button. Oh, and a touch of gold glitter:)
I also dyed the seam binding to match.....I like the uneven look of it!

The sentiment is from "Paper Sweeties" You are Fabulous set. "Paper Sweeties" is sponsoring this weeks challenge....Pop over to the shop to see all the fabulous stamps that Debbie has designed.

Here are the links to the rest of the Design Team Blogs.....pop over and see the gorgeous projects they have made.

Vintage Charm...TSTR # 137

I'm so excited to be hosting this weeks challenge at "The Shabby Tea room"
I have chosen the theme "Vintage Charm" along with this pretty picture for inspiration.

I would love to see your card/project using colours  from the photo, add a Flower and a Charm to your creation.

I can see a display of books and pretty charms like this in my home:) Any excuse to visit an OP shop!
When I chose the picture I had no idea what I was going to create.......then I remembered something that I always wanted to do.
Turn an old book into a Pretty little Box.
I have never done this before.....it was lots of fun to make.

What is a book without a pretty bookmark! I've used "Paper Sweeties" Abigail and Little Wishes sets.

I am going to use this box to store my "Paper Sweeties" stamps. Its the perfect size!

The most time consuming part of this project was cutting the pages out of the book...........look at the pretty flower I made with them!

Here is the before photo........I remembered to take one when I was in the middle of painting the edges of the book.

I hope you made it to the end, after all those photo's.

For more "Vintage Charm" please pop over and see the other Design Team members beautiful creations.

Day out on the Farm

I'm so Happy its Friday!
The weather is so nice and warm.....I can't wait for summer! I missed out on it last year because we spent Christmas in Canada with my husbands family.
The photo's on my layout were taken on one of our trips back to Canada. We left before Halloween.......but we did get to enjoy some of the celebrations leading up to it. The kids had never seen pumpkins like this before:)
The Die cut challenge for "Stuck on U Sketches" is to add a die cut pumpkin or vegetable to your creation.

The pumpkin was cut using 'Freshly Picked' cartridge, the fence and bird are from 'Happy Hauntings'. The papers are a mix of old ones from my stash combined with a few Kaiser die cuts.

You should see the fabulous creations the design team have created to inspire you.....pop over and have a look at SOUS.

Have a great weekend.......It so nice of you to stop by:)

Rustic Elegance.......TSTR # 136

Hello.......Its Monday, time to show you the new challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room"

Rebecca is our creative host this week....she has chosen the theme 'Rustic Elegance'. Rebecca ask that you be inspired by the colours in the photo, include a rustic material ( Wood or Burlap), and  an elegant element.

This week we have two sponsors.......'Frost it Pink' and 'Janet's digital paper'. The pretty pattern papers I have used are from 'Janet's digital paper' ... 'Shabby background collection'.

For my Rustic element I have added a wooden laser cut heart which is sitting on a piece of burlap.
I have used the cricut cartridge Joys to the season to cut out the candle, which is covered in lots of glitter for that extra sparkle:) My elegant element is the silver vintage button and metal corner embellishment..... I thought these matched the base of the candle holders:)

There are some fabulous prizes to win this week from our two sponsors... I hope you can join us:)
Hop over and visit the other Shabby Girls Blogs they have some beautiful creations to show you.

Celebrate Your Day

Hello,
Its  time to show you what I have created for
Rebekah is our creative host , she has chosen a great photo to inspire you and a fabulous sketch to follow!

Rebekah asks that you create a card/layout based on the sketch using the colours from the photo.

My inspiration came from the pretty 'Fall colours' and the wreaths. I have used the Grape Vine wreath from Memory Box.....it has been cut 3 times for extra dimension. I created the leaves with a punch. How pretty is the lace! I used ink and an aqua brush to colour the flowers on the lace...........The idea for this came from Kathy - she creates the most beautiful detailed cards with gorgeous lace....visit her here.

Celebrate Your Day and  XOX are sentiment stamps from 'Paper Sweeties' - Little Wishes and So Sweet of You sets.
The cute little Bird is from 'Robyn's Fetish' -  A little Birdie told me.

Make sure you visit the other Design Team members, to see their creative takes on the sketch!
